A refresh/rework of an adult Sims 3 mod.

While this mod is relatively stable from my testing, keep in mind that I am an amateur programmer at best. Please take caution when using on saves you care about, and remember to make appropriate backups before adding this mod.

 

Originally by Alfiechan and updated by Superstorm/Twilightstorm until 2021, BORDEROFEXTACY_Passion is a refresh/rework of where that work was left off.

 

For bug reports, you may submit them here, preferably! Please keep in mind I do this as a hobby and am often quite busy, so I may be unable to address bugs quickly.

 

👁 Changes from Twilightstorm's passion & Features

The following is a summary of most of the major changes from Twilightstorm's last update...

For the changelog of new features from this mod, see the changelog post [give me a second to... make it first].

 

• Sim genitalia can now be modularly registered via a tuning file, allowing for integration with any bottom.
• For sims with penises or both sets, 'getting hard' is now handled via switching between two cas parts instead of sliders, allowing for more possibilities than just re-sculpts of the same cmar peen.
• New strap-on mesh, for Y-A male and female sims who don't have a penis.
• Sims now have 'libido', tracked through a moodlet. This increases when being romantic, and effects their willingness to accept or make proposals, as well as their end satisfaction.
• Autonomy and satisfaction have been completely redone. Autonomy factors are customizable via tuning, and sims will get a distinct satisfaction moodlet.
• Graphics have been redone, and strings and been re-written.
• Sims can be marked as 'asexual', 'abstinent', or 'hypersexual' - which will effect their autonomy.
• A handful of bug fixes.
• Vampire stuff has been removed.
• Barmaids have been removed.

 

For the sake of not succumbing to scope creep, I had to throttle back on what I wanted to include for the first 'public' releases. However, the following features are planned for the future...

• 'Role' markers, to give sims a preference to being a top or bottom
• Partial undressing
• Modular strap-on types
• Autonomy modifiers for specific lots via buildbuy marker
• Update the pregnancy system, STDs, and other areas that need more attention
• QoL stuff I missed
• More bug fixes, hopefully

 

👁 Requirements & Installation

This mod now requires Arsil's custom trait manager!

It's recommended to use a default override nude body, as one is not included. This mod also does not come with any animations - you must download packs yourself!

BOEPassion is compatible with anything that was compatible with Twilightstorm's passion.

Simply unzip the .ZIP file into your packages folder! In the main 'folder' you can find BORDEROFEXTACY_Bodies and BORDEROFEXTACY_Settings - these contain tuning XML files you may modify to your liking!

For users of Twilightstorm's passion...

The download here includes everything needed - please ensure you delete your old passion files (minus any bodies or animations) as well as the scriptcache in your game folder.

Because this rework removes some elements like buffs, please take caution when adding it in!

Changes integrated from the nightly build...

• Potential fix for sims randomly resetting and erroring out of passion, seems to work on my end
• Added prompting that asks the player if they'd like a sim to be able to join an active passion interaction loop

New changes...

• Allow the player to select a starting position (will display when sims complete routing to the location)
• Add toggle for strap-on during passion
• Fixed issue where autonomy tuneable wasn't reading
• Added fallback options (tuneable) for male sims erect penises - if their bottom isn't detected in the bodies tuning file, they will 'fall back' on the erect SIMO here

hey, I plopped this in my game and set it up, but it seems as though every time my sims make love they just break up like immediately after, I have jealousy toggled, but that makes no sense for them to get upset with each other, they're not cheating.

hey have u fixed the glitch where female/bottom sims were getting stuck in male/top roles and vice versa?
this was the only real issue that made me stick to KW

Earlier I was more a Passion than KW fan. But several issues of Passion let me step away from it.

First of all what for me is a no go is, that Passion does not save the settings of the animation packs installed as far as they not

coded in the mod itself. So you have to register those packages always again when you start the game.

Second was the sometimes strange behavior (misplaced actors) during animation and sometimes Passion did not follow the OKW XML in terms of the gender.

This was the focus during my brief test. I saw misplaced actors and also the settings for animations are not saved.

Please understand, this is not a critic of your work. You did a great job already and Passion runs nicely for me. But may you have a look to the settings save code.

This would be wonderful. (And for bed animations you always be asked "right, middle or left side" may this cause trouble too and basically why this function any way 🙂 )

i can test this a bit later - i havent touched any of the jealousy calculation from the original mod yet, so i'm unsure if this is a bug from the OG.

is the breakup autonomous? if so, is it cancelable? how soon does it occur after they make love?

as for the animations saving - looking at the original version's changelog as well as the code itself, i noticed the 'pre registered' animations are hardcoded in. while my next target was generally the way animations are handled, if you let me know the package in the meantime i can add it in to the hardcoded list as a bandaid fix in the meantime

Hi, I am one of BOA's main testers (and fixed up some of the geoms  )

 

I tested with a lesbian couple, a gay couple, and a straight couple (more or less, it's complicated) and the actors are usually right when I make sure to enable "exclude invalid positions". When I don't, I indeed get misplaced animations - such as one of the amab sims in the gay couple vaginally fingering himself lol!

 

I never had trouble with settings saving, and even though I never deliberately imported the animations, my version of passion still automatically recognized about a thousand of them. But hey, BOA has said before my game must be magic

the breakup is autonomous and uncancelable, It's happening immediately after the session, I'm not remembering atm if that is a bug from the OG, it may have been but I never really encountered it before.

1. Misplaced actors I meant that sometimes one or two actors are not in the right position. Hang up in the air or beside i.e. bed.

2. I put a lot efforts into the OKW XMLs to assign the actors in the right role. (I.e. no Vaginal between two males a.s.o.) But I see sometimes, that in Passion the roles of actors do not follow the OKW XML. (i.e. Male in Female role) It would be nice if Passion follow the rules of the OKW XML. (May this is caused by the old AW XML which did not have a specific gender tag) I would completely eliminate this outdated AW XML and stick only to the OKW XML)

Many thanks for your offer, but it would make sense only for me and no one else so far. Have in most cases combined my animation packs and need to give them a new name or give them a KW conform name (i.e. KW_WTW_Animations or KW_Masteranimations a.s.o) But for the community you may can add the names of the Molton amis and the set of the Spaceman animations, which I modified for Passion in a way that this long, long Peneer Penis will not be used in Passion anymore 🙂

The Names to add to the list would be :  "KinkyMoltenAnimations" and "SMC_anims".

Hello, I tried this new Passion but whenever I load the save, it keeps saying "Missing Passion Custom TV Channel". Do I really have to use the custom tv channel to make the notification disappeared? Can't it be optional?

First, many thanks for this mod. Everything works great for me. However, I've noticed that a window pops up every time I'm having sex, asking for a desired sex position. This worked autonomously in Passion, it would be great if this could be implemented here too.

I noticed that too. But, it was because the setting where you select the category was set to "choose", not "any" lol. Check your settings and see if that was the cause. If not, then I have no idea why it's happening xD

Overall, the mod is great! I love the added libido percentile to track if they feel like doing it with their respective partners.  However, there is one bug. In every animation, passion keeps toggling on the strap-on even when it's not needed. I tried to toggle it off, but the game would freeze for a few seconds and then toggle it back on. (Might be due to the XML files in whatever animation that is causing the issue.) Strangely, I have "exclude invalid animations" on. IDK if I'm the only one with this issue. Can someone help direct me in the right direction on why it keeps happening? 🫠

Hey McNero! The setting should be in your pie menu; click on any sim, go to Passion > Settings > Initial Category and the options should be "Choose, Oral, F*ck, etc;"

Unfortunately it didn't help, I tested every start sequence and every time the position window opened again. I hope the developer can fix the problem. Until then, I'll stick with Passion for now. Thank you for your help.

Not a problem! I did just read in the description that the developer did it on purpose haha! They made it so the window opens up at the beginning and then it will automatically switch animations during the span of sims minutes you have set up.

yes, it was intentional ^^; i had multiple suggestions for the ability to choose the starting position, but can see how it'd be annoying in cases of autonomous sessions or being indecisive.

 

i'll try and get settings done up for that to be a toggle when i get around to the next update

This update seems to be causing some troubles with Nraas decensor on my end with the "mosaic" flickering on and off constantly during sex, which doesn't happen with kinkyworld or the original passion.

The erect bottom mesh included with this mod leaves a noticeable gap for men. I wish there was an option to toggle between continue using erect sliders with the default body mod I'm using(JVSmith's Enhanced bodies) instead of a separate erect mesh.

I had the same issue with the mesh. I just deleted the BORDEROFEXTACY_Bodies.package, and all the default penis + Erect files from the BOE_asset folder. I kept the strap-on files, though. That fixed the issue for me

What version of JVsmith's files do you have?

 

I tested the geoms a lot, and also fixed them partly since they indeed were sort of broken - the default butt erect form had gaps and also the legs where "wriggly", as if broken morphs. It got fixed on my end, but there seems to be variation in whether it's fixed or not
