I tested the approach mod for a bit today and it's working as described.

Does a low attractivenes rating decreases your relationship status with the NPC? 

 

For now the NPC only come to you to initiate their normal dialogue and you can even be turned down if you use a dialogue option to ask to get to know each other, as expected since there's a chance of raising the relationship status.

 

I feel that the PC having a very high attractiveness is raising the relationship status of the player with NPC's before any type of approach, I'm getting those comments when you are passing by NPC's that you usually would get only if have completed a quest for that NPC, those "it's nice to have you around" or something like that. Or am I wrong and it isn't your mod that is doing that?

 

How are you going to handle the rape attempts?  

 

Low attractiveness doesn't affect relationships with NPCs.

High attractiveness on the other hand does. It causes two effects before any type of contact:

  • NPCs that are interested in the gender of your PC will like you better (+1 relationship up to max 1)
  • NPCs of the same gender as your PC will be jealous (-1 relationship down to min -1)

Both those effects only have a chance of occurring. Unless your character has 100 attractiveness, 100 speech and is right in the middle of their weight preference there is no 100% chance.

 

This is to simulate the behaviour of men when they interact with very attractive women - most are unnaturally friendly. Furthermore it allows the PC to receive gifts and discounts using the game implemented mechanism.

 

Comments like "it's nice to have you around" are the effect of relationship = 1.

 

For non combat, straightforward rape attempts I was going to do something along those lines:

  • A person that wants to rape PC start following him/her at some distance
  • Once no one is in LOS the NPC will attack
  • If the attack is from out of LOS the player will get raped
  • otherwise a normal fight will start

 

I'm getting inheritance letters from bandits that I've killed and I'm pretty sure it's this mod that is causing that, since there are no other mods that could be affecting the relationship status of NPC's

But it's still so strange...

 

Inheritance letters from bandits were vanilla issue - it happened to me before a lot of times - but I can't say I'm 100% certain, that this mod doesn't increase the frequency. I'll have to play more to see whether that's the case. 

 

I'd rather not include checks excluding bandits from this mechanism, because I actually liked the idea of bandit's treating attractive PCs differently. I always found it unbelievable that a group of bandits that sees a defenseless, pretty, young girl simply charges at her with their two handed axes shouting "DIIIIIIEEEEEE!!!!!!!" instead of calmly approaching, making fun of her stupidity and then raping her.

Comments, opinions and advice on part of what you posted.

For this I would offer a few suggestions.

Once no one is in LOS the NPC will attack

If there is no guards around and it is not in a city or town have the line of sight of other NPC's not matter. So for example if you run across the 3 drunk revelers they might as a group do it or only one of them does but the others don't count. I would even allow imperial, stormcloak soldiers to do it or thalmar etc that wander around in small groups. I would only have line of sight of other NPC's matter in the following conditions.

1) It is a guard.

2) The NPC is from a town or city or this is in a town or city.

 

If the attack is from out of LOS the player will get raped

For this I would say the rape should only be automatic if the NPC is out of the PC's line of site. Have the NPC or NPC's try to come up behind the PC, even better if they use sneak. If they get close enough to the PC from behind and out of line of sight. Like if the PC never see's them or turns there back on them then the rape is automatic.

 

otherwise a normal fight will start

For this part I would suggest turning it into a brawl instead of a fight. For a couple of reasons reasons.

1) The PC is likely to beat most towns or city folk in a normal fight due to equipment.

2) So no one gets killed, since the NPC doesn't want to kill the PC only rape them. The PC of course can pull out their sword and kill the NPC after the brawl if the PC wins.

 

Now a few general comments.

You might want to look into what Goubo is doing with Defeat, in his next update he has apparently found a way for there to be a resist mechanic to rapes with out it being combat. Where the PC can resist their attacks after being defeat to try and avoid being raped and having a chance to run away instead. He has not released the details yet but you might want to ask him as using the same system might be a better way to handle it instead of just making it a a fight or brawl. Which could then cause conflicts with trigger mods like Defeat or Submit from losing the combat.

 

I would also say take into account the PC's state, by that I mean if they are drunk or on drugs make the odds higher they attract a rapist. Same if they are not wearing armor(clothes or armor with no armor rating), if they have no weapons, and finally if they are nude. Let these chances stack. So a nude PC with no weapons, who is drunk has a much higher chance to attract a rapist.

2) The NPCs chance to attempt a rape is based on their morality

ylenard, I saw a bandit "approach" the PC while hiding, I guess there might be something that happens with the approach mod on, but that has a very low probabilty of happening. You know, those times your PC is hiding, but becomes visible for a second, the eye marker opens, but then you hide again and it instantly closes, in that instant, I think the NPC might have decided to approach, which actually made him find my PC.

 

I actually haven't tested and am not playing a lot lately, so that's just for you to check it out, cause if it's just a freak incident, it's fine I guess.

The approach didn't put any options on the menu and neither made some diference in my game after some hours... wat can be went wrong?

 

This version of Approach doesn't have an MCM menu. You can see if it's working by loading a game - if you get a debug message saying that it's running then it is running.

 

It can get stuck though. If some approach starts, but for whatever reason can't be finished then you will never get approached again.

 

The issue is resolved in the next version - I've added a timeout mechanism.

That's a second issue that will be fixed in the next version. In the one that you can download I was only checking if the NPC has LOS and if he is in combat.

 

Here is the list of checks from the next version:

  • whether the NPC has LOS to the PC
  • whether the NPC is in combat
  • whether the PC is in combat
  • whether the NPC is eligible for a SexLab animation
  • whether the PC is eligible for a SexLab animation
  • whether the PC is sneaking

If you can think of other needed checks, please share.

 

Another thing I did was refining the chances of approaches.

 

I've also added three more approaches:

  • NPCs can ask for sex
  • NPCs can give the PC flowers
  • NPCs can attempt to rape the player

I have to add MCM menu and work on the rape approach(it's VERY buggy right now) before I put it for download though.

Hopefully I will have some free time this weekend - I should be able to finish those functionalities.

unless you may have weird results, like you just enter sneak and the the NPC walks away.

 

Sometime a NPC can be in a  "busy" state. I guess they should be ignored when it happen (not sure if it's important or not, just saying).

OMG! This is exactly what I was looking for! Will the attractiveness have any effect on a spouse in future mod updates?

 

- Sex proposition.(chance of increasing relationship if accepted, raising attraction and lowering relationship if rejected )

 

I think I'll test this mod after this feature gets implemented. Will follow topic.

Some idea for the atraction rank :

 

Gold in poket (beggar/ citizen/ noble) 

 

Houses owned 

 

Illusion skill to increase/decrease your attractiveness -like a mcm slider, where you can choose how your skill affect the atraction rank, even how people see you  ex :male PC who use illusion to seduce a lesbian-

or illusion spell -increase decrease atraction rank-

 

PC skill/ NPC race (for male PC)

ex: if you have a high magical skill high elves/ dark elves/breton will like you more, but if you have a high two handed skill you loose Atraction points.  So your charism is not only based on speach skill, if you are a male PC 

 

PC race/ NPC race 

   nords dont like elves

   humanoid dont like beast race (argonian khajjit orcs)

   argonians are ugly (even the lusty argonian maid)

etc .... (ask a TES lore expert :D )

   

Also race relationship can be use for rape chance 

 

 dark elves are few, no one will notice if u get raped

 Orcs are Orcs, no is not an answer, rape bonus

 Khajit are sneaky, they are always out of town far from the guard eyes - rape bonus

 Elves are romantic only with elves - penality rape to elves races

 High elves are supremacist - bonus rape if a non-elve deny the proposition

 (same, see TES lore, i just give idea)

 

Even faction can influence rape chance

  

 Stormcloak vs imperial (it's WAR) if you have started the civil war quest

    

Physical/magical skill can also decrease rape chance

 

Maybe a persuasion / bribery / intimidation option to disengage rape attempt

 

A lot of things  used for the atraction rank can work for  the rape chance.

Great idea, I would recommend that you also use SOS in your mod. Some women preffer bigger and some preffer smaller penises... so you can work arround that. To make it immersive it would be nice if you could somehow make it so that only when PC is naked women react to the size of the penis.

totally quoting this guy.

If this mod had a SOS integration it would be awesome since SOS already provides a random "penis size" system and a way to enhance or reduce it.

 

So that some girls (or all of them) are more or less attracted to big/small package.

Hello guys!

 

First of all thank you for your ideas! I'll do my best to implement as many as I can as best as I can.

Secondly, sorry for lying to you. I said I'll do one thing, but concentrated on something entirely different:

 

 

 

In the first post there is a new version of SexLab Approach. Mind the requirements - Aroused is needed now.

 

Unfortunately for you it's only a little update for you, but a huge update for me:

  • There is still no MCM
  • Still no rape approach
  • I've even cut out the flowers approach

What's new in this version you ask? Here is the list:

  • Approach quests have a timeout of 60 seconds, so they should never get stuck
  • Approach was turned into a framework! It took me a lot of work, but I finally made it! Creating new approach quests should be easy now!
  • A new, simple approach - aroused(it also takes into account NPCs attraction towards PC, relationship, confidence and aggression) NPCs will sometimes ask your character for sex. Be wary - some people will not take no for an answer(based on morality, aggression, confidence and relationship)!

 

Please, note that now the mods functionality indirectly overlaps with Dangerously Nude / Lovers Victim. If you hang around a bunch of dudes naked, they will ask you for sex (once their arousal get's elevated), and if they are the "right"(immoral and aggressive mostly) kind of people they will rape you. I suppose I should add an additional modifier for being naked in the future version.

 

 

Unfortunately I'm not done with the technical side of things. I want to:

  • Rebuild the whole way the approach system works - right now it attaches scripts to actors via a cloak spell - I want the cloak to cause the scripts to fire on NPCs without attaching instead.
  • Add a MCM menu with cloak aura radius, frequency, basic approach frequency adjustment, and a list of registered approach quests.
  • Create ability to register four types of approaches - Normal, Enemy, during sex and enemy during rape
  • Allow approach quests to receive more than one actor from the framework.

Of course I also want to create some more approaches and make the existing ones more entertaining.
