No idea what's happening but i'm having issues with a couple mods in MO2, i download them from nexusmods so they should work but, when i go and install them i get the "mod installed successfully" message, the mod folder is placed in the "mods" folder of MO2 but the mod itself doesn't appear in the left window so i can't activate it or delete it. Even unpacking the zip file and putting it manually in "mods" doesn't work.

As you can see "younglover's" should be installed but it doesn't appear on the left. it's only a handful of mods that do this, one was "wind ruler armor" and the other was the "Yumi" follower kid mod

Disable category filtering. Dropdown at the bottom. Also check the Filter menu in the bottom left.

holy shit that was it! (also changing the names of the folders worked for some ungodly reason as no mods starting with "Y" were showing up)

Weird hypothesis.

Never set MO2's left pane to Nexus IDs or Categories. If you leave it as No Groups you'll have full control over it with your preferred sorting method (ideally by priority so you can manage conflicts) and separators if you use any.

got it, i'm fairly new with the program so i didn't even think that setting the left panel to categories would screw me over that much D:

Note the colored border around the list. You can take that as meaning "not everything is being shown here".
