But i'm not getting the swap so i am definitely doing something wrong. the community resource page has two sets of configs for cosplay pack. The one that is just BARE_Caenarvon_cosplay_pack.ini and the one that is CosplayPack_VSU.ini from the converted configs. The CP_VSU file from converted configs does it like this BARE|0xE44~[Caenarvon] Cosplay Pack.esp|0xE74~[Caenarvon] Cosplay Pack.esp|NONE|0|1 i added the one for the golden bikini because it was missing and that seems to be working now. BARE|0xA38~[Caenarvon] Cosplay Pack.esp|0xA39~[Caenarvon] Cosplay Pack.esp|NONE|0|1 but when i try to add the cosplay gala outfits they do not seem to work, example the Golden order patricia outfit normal Form ID FE001DE1 lewd Form ID FE001DE6 so i did BARE|0xDE1~[Caenarvon] Cosplay Pack Gala.esp|0xDE6~[Caenarvon] Cosplay Pack Gala.esp|NONE|0|1 is that correct or does it need the 1 in front of the DE1/DE6? i wasn't sure because it is ESPFE the BARE_C_C_P had this format and i have no idea if its relevant BARE|0x3184b~[Caenarvon] Cosplay Pack.esp|0x3184c~[Caenarvon] Cosplay Pack.esp|NONE|0|1

I did not do either of the cp configs. I just ran a script that converted some VSU configs to the bare format. I did not test them because I don't use them ( the cosplay pack is good, but I cannot fit it in my game) ... PS: thanks for confirming that it doesn't need for a new save. The new save would be to ensure that all parameters of the script are properly initialized, since is a new version the reset may not have worked perfectly, but since it works I can be at easy. Furthermore if the scripts bugs out, the reset may fix it

Arkbar. Posted August 26, 2025 Author Posted August 26, 2025 My money would still be on errors in the config. I also struggled quite a bit to get all the outfits to properly change in my configs. I remember one that I had configured the armor add-on by miatake, others that were different colors, etc. A couple of things I also tried to help debug 1- get both swaps and equip them. Maybe only 1 is really wrong 2- remember to rebuild the VSU database. I forgot more than once.

I'm not too familiar with the features, but in principle you could disable everything in the dylbilis ini and BARE should still work. 1

The patch is simple in principle, I just need to figure out if an actor is being used in an OStim scene, and add the condition to the filter. If you know the conditions, maybe I can make a patch relatively soon, however as I mentioned previously, I'm not fully able to support the mod for a couple of mods due to IRL compromises, and this falls under that category. I'll keep it in consideration

Also BARE latest version already respects sexlab animations so I'm not even sure what do you want to accomplish with your proposed enhancement

According to my understanding, as long as the value is reached, even if the character is "walking", it will trigger a costume change, right? And what I mean is, the costume change is based on 'animation start'. Just like how the VSU author directly creates patches for Ostim, if there are also patches compatible with Sexlab, it is equivalent to VSU applying all Sexlab related mods. VSU is simple, but it is difficult to accurately add its code to Sexlab's code. I'm just asking tentatively. 1

I like the arousal based idea behind BARE, but as you saw in other comments, BARE and Sexlab scenes are conflicting. Instead of making BARE "skip" SL scenes, it should jump in and switch to lewd form if not already in lewd form (and do nothing else until the end of the scene). Then at the end of the scene, if the arousal is still high enough, stay lewd, if it dropped enough, then go back to normal version of outfit.

I'll consider it if there is truly interest in a VSU specific solution, but I'd still skip the core BARE logic during SL scenes, otherwise you'd have 2 competing logics, so it would have to be an addon (The user would not really notice the difference), still is not a high priority for me as there are already other solutions, and arguably a DAV solution is better for SL scenes than a VSU solution (Swapping the armor addon would not flicker the armor)

Also, the problem with DAV based solutions (I've also implemented that as well) is DAV switches Armor Addons but unfortunately, MODs like PASH/CAEKED for piercings need the Armors themselves be changed, since these sorts of MODs look for the "lewd" keyword in the name. So these solution really don't work completely. VSU is switching the Armors (which is what I'm looking for), and I liked that OStim has a VSU solution for this, but I just removed my OStim SA setup from my load since I had about 94K animations (and many overlapped, like Billyy etc.) which caused CTDs that linked back to Pandora (I'm on SE 1.5.97 by they way). My SL setup is working great, and I really am looking for just getting the Lewd outfits changed during SL scenes (with Piercings showing as applicable etc.) and not so much all the voices and so on (though the Hentairim expression are really nice too, but unfortunately the mouth keeps closing during BJs which I don't much like). I completely respect your bias, however hope you might reconsider at some point given if you are checking to "block" BARE functionally during SL scenes (which does need to happen), it seems like a reasonable approach is just to leave on, or change to, the lewd version of the outfit until the scene ends, at which point BARE functionality resumes. I hadn't thought about the PASH/CAEKD issue (I have my own caekd config for all armors I use) At this moment in time, I think it might be better as an independent mod, and I'd probably reuse the VSU-Ostim configs. Bare only has 2 states, this is because I have to contend with equipping items that may or may not be in the proper "BARE" state, while I was testing the scripts, with 3 states, this always caused issues. For sex-scenes, 3 states are much better suited, and I can also unequip items depending on the scene, but that makes the script much more complex. which is why I lean towards an independent mod, or at least a parallel script (So a BARE stripping and a SL stripping scripts, when 1 is working the other is not)

Of course, it is just a casual mention and not a formal request. Dav or hentairim's clothing exchange is based on the exchange between armors addon, rather than the armors themselves. This involves an issue: if Armor comes with a script, then the 'clothing exchange' between Dav and Hentairim will lose its effectiveness. Let me give you a practical example - DD. I believe that the reason why users use DD is not only because of its appearance. And I happen to have patches that make VSU and DD compatible. If there really is a VSU Sexlab plugin, then I don't mind releasing my patch.
Arkbar. Posted September 22, 2025 Author Posted September 22, 2025 This is still an open discussion, I've not decided to implement the feature, but I'm not completely opposed to it. I know very little of SL internals to do this, so if I decide to implement it, it will not be anytime soon. Also probably I'd make it depending onf SLp+, as I use P+ over regular SL, which also has (to my knowledge) a very good tagging system. My general idea of this is to have a script or something, that whenever it changes SL animation it will chose one of the following states for the outfit: 1- Clothed state (For example BJ scene) 2- lewd 1 (Usually exposed breasts), titjob, or similar animation 3- Lewd 2 (Usually exposed pussy), penetration scenes 4- Remove (The outfit is incompatible, for example penetration scene where the outfit has panties on) Potential issues: 1- if comming from BARE; the outfit may already be in an lewd state, but the scene will make it go back. I think there is a way in VSU that detects the current VSU state if so this can be fixed 2- delays/lack of responsiveness. BARE runs the script every X seconds, this is fine for arousal dress state, but may not be enough for SL scenes, The animations starts playing and later on it changes the outfit. I'd need to figure out a way to do this. My current guess is to have it as some sort of ability, assuming that there is a faction or something I can query,or maybe an event I can leverage, as I'm not familiar with the internals, I don't know what would be the best way to do it. (So if you know something let me know)

I don't use SLp+ since some of my mods don't actually work right with it, so I've stayed with SL v1.63 and am hoping whatever you come up with doesn't depend on something P+ has that v1.63 doesn't.
