I probably shouldn't start yet another mod with so many mods already on my plate, but this one feels like a breath of fresh air in between hot and heavy, dark S&M mods I inherited. During my play tests, I often wished I could develop some level of relationship out of all the sex SexLab mods add to the game. Why shouldn't the Dragonborn get some benefits out of all that activity. And when I noticed SexLab now keeps track of number of sexual activity with each NPC (thanks Ashal!) I thought of a quick proof of concept. So now I have the basic structure for dialogues with non threatening NPCs.... you can say hello to inn keepers, farmers, lumberjacks, Ysolda and so on... and ask them how they are, talk about the weather, and if it turns out you had one or many sexual relationships with them, ask to sleep in their bed, drink their mead or eat their food. Eventually, I will add more meat to it and make it linked to speechcraft, disease state or fame, to give them a reason to accept you or turn you down. I want to get to the point where you can get a chance at having a free bed for the night after pleasing the innkeeper. Or more than a discount from a vendor. Or free healing from a priest. I have to keep this light and balanced, so they don't turn into free vending machines, but you get the idea. It is not my intention to turn this into a fullblown romance mod... It is more of a light flirt and friendship with benefits.. Release is a couple of months away at least. Right now, NPCs say hello, and reply a couple of things depending on their sex stats with the PC. I just wanted to set the stage and let you guys know this is coming in case anyone had ideas or wants to participate (or if someone else already started something similar, all the better... I can stop early as well)

I am thinking of keeping it as simple as possible and make it based on sexual activity only, and leave the manner sex happens to other mods. So if you are using a prostitution mod and have regular clients, you should be able to eventually ask favors out of them Ideally, the mod should also record their attitude towards you as well... not just the sex count. SexLab offers functions to catch satisfaction levels or pain of NPCs involved in sex, and mods like PapyrusUtil allow storage of unlimited values, so it should be possible to get there eventually.
shinji72 Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 It would be cool if there would be a way to differentiate consensual (romance sex) from prostitution. I think maybe prostitution could draw back your relathionship improvement? Belethor thought you were such a nice person... then one day, you show him the bill. How deluded the poor guy would be. Unfortunately, I don't think there is any flag to identify mercenary sex on the framework...

It will have to remain simple and shallow initially because of the lack of discrimination between the various conditions of sex. The challenge will be to make it playable and useful without being too mechanical (I really want to avoid turning NPCs into vending machines you can hit up for favors after a few sex acts).

You could give your friends/lovers jewelry, clothes, especially male friends might be happier if you give them nice weapons/armor. And maybe it would be possible to invite them to a feast in the nearest inn. To not make it too complicated adding this as a dialogue option to the innkeeper and then playing an eating animation through RND and afterwards displaying a message how your friend liked the feast would be fully sufficient imho. You should have 3-5 order options for the feast of various magnitude, and nobles or greedy NPCs would be annoyed if you don't pick one of the more expensive options while poor npcs would probably be annoyed the other way because they would feel that you did this only that they owe you something like sex.

I have enough ideas on my list to last until the next TES game and probably after... and that's just for doable ideas for which I already have a blueprint in mind on how to tackle them. Maybe I should write a blog post with that list of ideas in case anyone is interested.

hryh23k9823u Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 I'd like to be able to become 'friend' of an NPC (the state where they allow to take stuff from their homes) and even being able to sleep in their homes at some points of the relationship. Not sure but I think Sexlab Romance already implements something like that in base a some relationship points you gain with the NPC? But that base is what I like. The rest of your ideas are great and looking foward to play with more mods of yours ^^
DeepBlueFrog Posted May 25, 2014 Author Posted May 25, 2014 This idea has been rolled into my SexLab Stories mod. http://www.loverslab.com/topic/31581-sexlab-stories-2014-05-25 It is still in very early stages as I found out it is a lot harder than expected to get NPCs to be hospitable temporarily. Right now, the relationship side of Stories allows you to have sex with an NPC you already had sex with and based on their relationship with you, have different type of animations. You can also change their relationship after enough sex scenes using the 'I like you / I love you' dialogues.
