The fix for brown faces still is exactly the same as it was 14 years ago. I realize Google is practically useless these days, but surely it can find a simple answer like this?

Yes I know the Control F4 Creation Kit. And it's not working.

It's a custom follower mod, custom race.

 

 

Could someone download the mod and try for me?

And which mod(s) did you load in the CK when generating the face? The follower mod only? You need to have the mod loaded that's last to provide the NPC_ record. If this NPC_ record references any other records that are relevant to creating the facegen data, then I would assume mods altering those would have to be loaded as well.

Hilda is a custom non vanilla follower. The mod is standalone. The modder did not list mod requirements.

Edit: Custom non released race too.

 

Is this a dead end? Edit: Because the facegeom is missing the mods used in its generation?

What you should be considering here is not requirements but rather conflicts. For instance, Etherial Elven Overhaul is a mod which doesn't change followers, yet it has a tendency to cause brown faces on all elves.

New save. After Helgen tutorial.

No mods loaded but Hilda. Mod organizer.

Hilda still has brown face.

3BA version from the link you posted. Hair's a mess because I don't use SMP and I'm guessing the mod does. Couldn't get a decent shot as she kept turning her back on me when I got close.

 

 



 

I just downloaded and installed. I left the mod at the bottom of my left pane.

I've never converted from SE to LE so I am unaware of any pitfalls.
