help with setting up BDSM mods!

hello! I've been trying to set up some BDSM mods, including the Devious Devices series, and Captured Dreams. unfortunately I've run into some issues 💔

 

firstly, I am using Vortex, as it's the simplest/most familiar for me to use right now. 

 

I believe my main issue right now is with FNIS. before I realized I had to run the executable first, I ended up opening the game and trying things out. obviously everything except the animations seemed to be fine, though it was a very brief test, so I couldn't really say for sure.

 

after remembering to run the FNIS exe, I opened the game again to the dreaded half t-posing characters. there were some warnings FNIS gave, which mentioned some files not compatible with SE? though I could've sworn I installed the files that matched the version of the game I have installed (1.6.something). it also mentioned 7 missing ZaZ files. I've tried reinstalling things, and using older files, but still having the same issue.

 

can anyone offer any advice? do I have incorrect files installed? what else am I doing wrong?
