Always on My Mind. Maybe it's supposed to be ironic. If not, the song's message is "I love you, but I never bothered to do anything about it other than think about you." The link is the Pet Shop Boys cover, because I like it.

There are many I could choose from. However, if I had to pick one from the pile that isn't one that is easy to choose (like "Photograph" by Nickelback), I would have to say "Butterfly" by Crazy Town. Sorry to all the people who grew up with that strip club anthem, but it sucks. The beat the song was known for was sampled from the song Pretty Little Ditty by The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Also, the lyrics are just pure smut, with a chorus that is repeated over and over again.

Canton Jones: Money Green Shawty Lo type rap beat gospel song had few cussing words in it when I was listening on the gospel station any day oftenly. Someone at the gospel radio station on ZNS Inspiration 107.9FM in Latin America and The Caribbean Region forget to censored the cuss words out. He used F****** and N***** words during the 1st and 2nd verse of the song.

"End of Days" by Vinnie Paz. It's a song where Vinnie raps about a bunch of conspiracy theories that his friends have told him over the years, ranging from really mundane ones like chemtrails and certain diseases being created in labs by evil scientists, to schizo shit like former U.S. president Barack Obama being grown in a test tube. Meanwhile, the hook has a guy rapping about how us sheeple need to wake up. It is one of the stupidest and funniest songs I've ever heard. Granted, Vinnie Paz already has a reputation for being pretty "out there" and is super homophobic, but it's such a crazy jump to go from songs like "Cheesesteaks" and "Is Happiness Just a Word?" to shit like this.

Clearly this topic is highly subjective, as in terms of talent, she has it.   Also, the OP asked for songs that make no sense.  A song may still be amazing, for example the song below doesn't make much sense at all, but is amazing because of the impromptu nature of the jam session by guys who reportedly don't know each other.    However, the songs that don't make sense do not necessarily equal the "worst song".

Respectfully, I can't agree with you about Mariah Carey.  Screaming at the top of someone's lungs as an excuse for singing, or reaching that so-called "high note", does NOT equate talent.  That's how I see it.

 

And as far as a song's lyrics that make no sense go: you could try searching for the instrumentals if you still like the rhythm.

I agree re: Mariah Carey. I don't like her. Plenty of people do, obviously, or she would not be so successful.

 

Another song I like but has WTF lyrics is It's Not Unusual. The lyrics in my opinion skate on the border of "If you go out with anyone but me, I'm gonna kill you and then kill myself."

I fully agree. There are songs that don’t make sense, but are enjoyable. On the other hand, there are songs that make sense but aren’t good.

The entire soundtrack for Mamma Mia! I like a lot of (but not all) of the Abba songs in it, but they are just in my opinion poorly shoehorned into a story. They don't fit with the situations in which they are used, with a couple of exceptions.
