Raven 54 Posted May 22, 2025 Posted May 22, 2025 All pics required to be in a spoiler. Where is your favorite build site, What do you like to build, here is an outrageous project I just started. I wanted to see what I could build at Finch Farm, so I built a Huge Lodge on the ruined bridge for an outpost of the Minutemen. Of course I used cheats and a mod to access the bridge, What do you think of it? I know it is excessive but that was the whole point of it, to see how big I could build there. So far 24 beds, a Large dining area with kitchen, two lounging areas with fire pit, a lift to access, bathroom facilities coming next. Lit by lanterns, & kitchen by Woody's wasteland mod. Seventeen floors long by four wide. supported by steel beams and skirted. Spoiler Woody's Wasteland Stuff - https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/24951 Finch Farm & Graygarden lifts mod - Deleted on Nexus (I have it saved but don't know if I can share it, let me know.) 1

I did something similar at Greygarden, but I also had different mods that would give me more resources. Otherwise, I would have run out of material. Also, are you using settlement expansion (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1062 ? 2
Speed Metal Posted May 22, 2025 Posted May 22, 2025 The only place I build in is Home Plate. I tend to keep the same layout each playthrough. Something simple and functional, with all the crafting stations I need. Spoiler 1

I did say I used cheats and mods, this was a test to see what could be done. I really like the barn look.
qalavix Posted May 23, 2025 Posted May 23, 2025 Does anyone use mods like Clipboard Patterns or Transfer Settlements to save a settlement for later games? I didn't on earlier games, and now I wish I had. 😢 1

I had some pretty decent builds that got wiped through a glitch or getting a CTD before saving. Once I spent a lot of time building a settlement then fat fingered f9 instead of f10,,,,, so I use it as a backup. 1

Or, as @Joe_Oni said: Quote [...] Once I spent a lot of time building a settlement then fat fingered f9 instead of f10 *sympathy wince* Oooh, I hate those. Edited May 25, 2025 by qalavix 2

Samuraitech Posted June 13, 2025 Posted June 13, 2025 Glad you started this post. Part of FO4 is about settlement building and not just character creation or winning the game. I like to be inspired by what others do in the game. I don't have examples to post now, but I will. Modding FO3 currently. You almost need different game play profiles of settlement builds versus game play. If you focus on other game issues the settlers get unhappy. Also the resources of mods used for settlements versus what ever other focus you have with the game. 1

I have gotten in a rut of creating the same type of buildings again and again, wanted to see others work for inspiration... Thanks.
