Some Beginner's Help....please?

Having Played Skyrim, Dawnguard, Dragonborn and Hearthfire through with my first character, and done the other side of the Civil War and the dawnguard line with a second, I'm looking to start a heavily-roleplayed high immersion character. I've downloaded a several immersion mods, but I'd also like to download romance/sex mods as well.

 

I'm definately planning on using the SexLab Framework and the stuff that it allows, but I'm not entirely sure on some things.

 

For one, I'm not clear on what body mods, if any, are best fit with SexLab - for that matter, I only know of UNP and CBBE (though I know others exist) and so I'm wondering if there is a 'Sexlab works best with Bodymod X' or whatever. 

 

Secondly, I've heard some people say that a lot of bodymods kind of clash with the feel of the game, looking somewhat out of place in relation to the surroundings, and such, and I'm wondering if there are some that are more subtle in their changes than others. or if the ones like CBBE/UNP/Etc are as intrusive as they kind of look like in the (admittedly cursory) checking I've done.

 

Finally, so far as I can tell, CBBE and UNP (for example) are only for female bodies, but I can easily imagine that changing female looks and not male looks being particularly jarring, so I'm wondering if there are any male bodymods of that quality (or close) if I went with CBBE or UNP, or if there's one that does well for both genders. (Also, my girlfriend, who sometimes watches me play, demands eye-candy of her own if I'm going to download female bodymods.)

 

I apologize for asking so many questions (and also if this was the wrong place to ask them.)

1) The body mods are your choice. But you need a proper skeleton for these mods to function as intended. XPMS is what I'm using (with a UNP body) and it works fine. It even lets the choice parts jiggle during sex!

 

2) UNP variants seem the most realistic. Different textures also help to add realism, like Mature Skin and so on. Using Race Menu or Enhanced Character Edit can allow the addition of scars and such as well, which could bring even more realism to a Skyrim character.....life is hard in Skyrim.

 

3) Not sure on the male body mods, but if you install Inhabitants of Skyrim (and it's necessary mods) you'll get better looking NPCs, both male and female. Schlongs of Skyrim, a must have for LL/SL mods, does give some male body options as well. I'm sure a search on Nexus could turn up some male bodies, though.

You can't beat schlongs of skyrim for jiggly animated twigs and berries, but I tend to use the 4udiks and associated sexlab nude suit replacer here on the downloads section of sexlab.  No extra papyrus load if you go with 4udiks, but the skin texture detail is a bit lower.  His weenies aren't mutilated either.

CNHF and 4udiks look pretty good for what I'm looking for (Having checked them on the Nexus), but If I need some kind of skeleton to go with the Sexlab Framework - do you know which ones work with those? Or do skeleton mods all pretty much work with any body mods (or at least some with most or whatever).

 

And also, I'm not 100% - if I go with CNHF 2.5, it will still work with the base game's armors, or at least, any changes needed will already be with the download (so I won't need to get extra downloads so they all work)?

 

I know virtually nothing about modding, mods, or what interacts with or uses what, so forgive my ignorance and probably obvious questions please. Thanks.

Hi, for the realistic look CNHF is a superior choice.

Use xp32's Skeleton. That should work for all body types. Well, as far as I know, cause I've never tried anything else than unp bodies).

I would love to use CNHF for myself, if it only had pregnancy weight- / node scaling or BBP (bouncing breasts. TBBP includes the butt bounce).

 

The "base game's armors", also called 'vanilla', are working with every body mod.

Unfortunately they won't have exactly the same shape of the body mod.

 

 

As for the male part, 4uDIK looks realistic. Would use it as a beginner. There are no scripts and you can install it anytime.

The complex 'Schlongs of Skyrim' is more fun and riskier, if you're using it for your savegame, don't uninstall it. Same as every mod that uses scripts.

Okay, then two more questions (Thanks for all the help so far!) and then I think I can try it out.

The various equippable (and sexlab-workable) strapons/futa/etc - do those work with CNHF and 4udiks? The character I've been developing headcanon wise for this game is female and bi, so I would like those for her, if possible. For that matter, do SoS, SoS for Female and Equippable SoS work with CNHF (I'd imagine they'd not work with 4udiks, though I hardly know)

 

Finally, the 'Inhabitants of Skyrim' mod mentioned above - I looked into that, and it also looks good. Does it work with CNHF or no?

Again, I apologize for all the probably obvious/stupid questions.

Btw, I've edited my previous text and added "as for the male part..".

 

Equipable strap-ons should work, maybe with minor gaps because of the body shape.

I didn't try a hermaphrodite char yet. But the SoS-addons need the main mod.

SoS with CNHF could also have a little gab between penis and crotch, and the female 4udik body for sure. male 4udik body and SoS will result in 2 penises and only one will have a texture, I guess.

 

Inhabitants of Skyrim only got Apachii Hairs as a real requirement. So it does work.

I believe for what your worried about there are ways to make them work just kind of complex and beyond me right now.

 

Also though if your going for a high immersion with a female character you will end up wanting CBBE Bodyslide 2 or UNPB for pregnancy mods, only ones I know of that support the belly nodes required.

 

Also if your going to use SOS at all why not just use it by itself I suppose if your set on the looks of 4udiks but I couldn't stand looting a bandit for that better piece of armor they had and seeing a corpse fully erect... the nightmares. Now that said for immersion sake while it isn't to horrible Frostfall and SOS are incompatible, Frostfall wont recognize main body armors if you have both, though there is a work around for that though I have yet to find it myself as I'm still new to the CK.

I'm not really looking to go as far as a pregnancy mod - I'm not /quite/ that immersive just yet. So I don't need to worry about that.

 

I'm not /set/ on the looks of 4udiks, I'm just trying to get everything to work right and not look completely weird. Which is why I felt that 4udiks worked, if SoS doesn't really work with CNHF.

So we're definatelly talking about CNHF for females (of course) and 4udiks for males?

They'll work with most of the basic mods.

Sexlab has integrated strapons for females and body swapper for males (erected penis only for sex scenes).

 

But if you would like the easy way to enjoy all* the stuff with unp bodies like:

*well, the only indirect thing that won't work easily with unp yet is Bodyslide2

• Schlongs for females,
• ingame options for their size,
• getting pregnant,
• breast bouncing,
• getting enslaved or bound in fitting clothes

then use unpb and Schlongs of Skyrim.

 

 

I don't want to tell you what to use, everybody got his own tastes. But CBBE/UNPB + SoS got the most interesting and kinky features (myself: unpb on low weight + SoS).

As I told you, I'd like to use CNHF and having less scripted stress with SoS, but you can't have everything without modding yourself.

Since SexLab is largely a sex animation mod, you will likely want nude male and female bodies. While the mod does come with a nudesuit option, that remains an imperfect solution in many scenarios.

There are many body mods to choose from, personally I use and suggest UNPB for females and Schlongs of Skyrim Default/Average for males.

A BBP enabled skeleton is also useful, as many of the animations include BBP support, though it is optional. I'd suggest XP32's Maximum Skeleton ( plus Patch for SOS Users ).

There is support for other strapons for females to use, but you will need to download and install them separately and run the "Rebuild Strapon List" option from the menu's Rebuild page if you install or remove any after loading the mod. The supported strapon mods are aeonflux88's strapon, Horker Tusk, Futa Equippable, & Cozy & Rebels Equippable TG

If you want First Person animations, I highly recommend using the Immersive First Person View mod by h38fh2mf

 

 

 

If you're more into modding, using ModOrganizer as a mod manager, you can also play various Dragonborns with different bodies, mods and so on.

Ultimately as far as body mods goes its up to you then if you like 4udiks for the male I don't see why you can't just install it first and over write the female, if you even need to do that, with CNHF. As for SOS it is purely for the males and CNHF for Females so there is no problem. Now if you want to make a futa/TG female with SOS then you might have some clipping or similar image issues as the mods for that weren't designed for that body type. Keyword is might I don't use CNHF or equipable SOS or SOS for female so I don't know you might be perfectly fine.

 

Edit: Mdy pretty much said it all everybody has there own taste so chose which one you want... Heck be original for all anyone cares and don't use a body mod... Can anyone here imagine their characters with sexlabs animation with the vanilla underwear?

I'd go with SoS and forget the 4udiks. SoS also has male body options after they're undressed (like bodybuilder/normal and hairless/hairy). SoS also allows a nude suit option for males and females if you want to use it (just turn it on in the MCM). With any male option other than SoS you'll have erect corpses laying around and that's as immersion breaking as you could ever see. SoS just works better than other options when it comes to immersion and realism.

 

The CNHF body will be fine to use with SoS. One is for males and the other for females so there should be no issues. The equippable schlongs should work on the females since that body mod works with most things UNP or vanilla. You'd have to try it to be sure, but even if it doesn't SexLab has a "females use strap-ons" option in the menu (so you don't need to add a strap-on mod if you don't want to).

Well, you guys have me convinced for SoS and got me leaning towards UNPB - but if I use that, how do I work around the issue SoS has with Frostfall that I've seen mentioned around here?

the game is still playable despite the conflict between the two you just don't get the main protection from the cold with SOS because of something it changes in armors. Supposedly there will be a more permanent fix for this in the next frostfall update. As for the current work around I have never found out myself so is anyone here knows I would appreciate it as well. My guess is it would require some knowledge of the CK and scripting?

I have no luck with the Schlongs of Skyrim mod, so I use "erect meshes"

 

Favoredsouls has a good body, but immersion breaking schlong size.

4UDIK has a proper schlong size, but really HUGE butts

 

So what I did was installed Nudes-Favored Souls and manually installed the meshes from the Noiral Race (it's the download labeled "Make Nude Erect Patch") over them. These are the meshes for SunDracons Body

 

The alignment with SexLab animations is good for CBBE based, UNP based and x117 based bodies.
