Rabblerouser Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I'd like to be able to have an attachment thumbnail, but can't seem to figure out how.

Rabblerouser Posted January 7, 2014 Author Posted January 7, 2014 Basically I want to stop it looking like this and more like this.
myuhinny Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Just use the More Reply Options at the bottom then choose file drop the picture into the box that pops up and select the picture once it gets loaded hit attach this file then add to post and it will place the picture into the message screen. You can do it like this or like this. To do it as a attachement which you really don't have to as using choose file option will shrink the picture anyway but to do it just do it the same way but don't hit add to post.

Perhaps it's just Skyrim saves as size-bloated BMPs.
myuhinny Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I added a bit more to my post. Mine saves as jepg.
Rabblerouser Posted January 7, 2014 Author Posted January 7, 2014 Let me try this. I'm thinking the forums just don't like BMPs or Skyrim's bloated filesize pics. Also noticed "My Media" you can link them, too. EDIT: Let's try a PNG IT WORKS! I guess LL just doesn't want to deal with straight-from-Skyrim pics. :/ I guess I can understand that.. even if the extra hassle annoys me.
Guest Ragna_Rok Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 folks, its about the size of the file. and for my mods i made like 3k screenshots already, from which like 50 or 100 went on. average bmp is 2.5 mb, average jpg 200kb. this, with the traffic that stuff like this causes, is the reason why most sites dont support bmp-upload, so that all those kiddos showing off their bazillion "awesome" screens dont make the server say "f u all". it got quite common to not allow bmp. and the only reason why skyrim makes bmp-screens is because the format is easily written (for the games exe i mean). *yoink* ... later folks, back to work...
