Follower disappears after I change it's meshes and textures to the ones I am using.

As title says I have a follower mod installed and wanted to change it's body to 3ba and use my skin textures, but after I do that the NPC disappears and it's there before I make any changes. The npc has an ID for me to spawn it but after I do it's like it does nothing. I did it for a similar mod and it worked out fine so not really sure what exactly i'm doing wrong this time.

This problem, at one time , was caused by the HDT , strange that it still exists . From time to time , it also happens with the Companion Quest. When Farkas turns into a Werewolf

Either it no longer moves , or it disappears . You can try this solution

Open Console, select follower , write Disable , close console  , reopen console , write Enable .

If it was your character, you could use Racemenu for verification , reinstall SexlabUtilityPlus to fix the problem

Opening your 3BA body with OS , do you get the message to optimize it for Skyrim SE?

Most likely what happened was you gave your follower a new set of armor (instead of swapping meshes around) and this follower is using a custom race. Every ARMO (and/or ARMA) record has a list of races it is compatible with. If the armor being worn is not compatible with the current race, it is not rendered at all.

Change the paths (body, hands and feet) here to

Actors\Character\Character Assets\FemaleBody_1.nif etc

Change these to

Actors\Character\Female\FemaleBody_1.dds etc

Might also be worth either changing the skellie path to yours or copying your skellie nif to the follower's.

Worn Armour should be empty

You will probably have to change the head texture paths in nifskope.
