Glaurung26 Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Hey everybody, I've been recently having trouble running my adult mods (past month or so). I haven't changed any hardware and no software other than updating versions, drivers, etc. My best guess is that scripting/coding sophistication is outpacing my wimpy processor. Vanilla Skyrim does run at about 80% (70% plus other system/background stuff) of my processor (Intel U7300 Duo Core 1.3 GHz * 2 CPUs). It usually runs just fine, even with lots of mods, although I suspect not many script intensive ones. If I have multiple script based mods, sometimes they take some time and effort to activate and sometimes don't go off. Mostly while running Sexlab and texture mods (ENB makes my computer cry). Frostfall and stuff are usually fine by themselves. Sexlab just seems to be fairly demanding. Despite the odd glitch the animations seem okay. They sometimes run slow or lag me but not often. Activation and actor adjustment in particular are often laggy and unresponsive. Dialogue options can take 3-5 seconds to proceed. I troubleshoot regularly (sometimes a few hours), mostly when upgrading or adding a new mod, but more and more to get Sexlab to cooperate. It's getting to the point where I almost can't run a scene and fraps record at the same time. It lags the scripts too much or something. Technically speaking it's my fault for not having a better computer but I'm penny pinching and putting off upgrading to a proper gaming rig. So I'd like to find a software/user solution. I'm currently running: *Sexlab Framework 130 *Sexlab Submit Dec 17 *SoS skeleton/animations *TBBP skeleton/animations *True Daughters of Skyrim *Better Males *Better Sorting *UFO *Populated Cities (usually end up running sex animations indoors, in cities is too laggy) *Better follower dialogue *Race Menu *Apachii Hair *Animcam *Master of Disguise *BBB idles *Player Headtracking *SkyUI 4.1 *FNIS 4.1.1 *SKSE 1.6.16 and a bunch of mostly house and armour mods. If you guys know any incompatibilities, quirks, whatever associated with those let me know. For the most part they seem to be behaving but you never know with modding. Edit: Hm the first two seem to have updated recently, I'll see if that resolves any issues.
Aethernaut1899 Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 I've had a minor degradation of performance after upgrading SL and my affiliated mods, from 115 to 135, as well. Animations seem to have more trouble with environment collisions (lots of lower legs bouncing rapidly off the floorboards...), they take much longer to get started, and positions seem very hard to adjust. The other odd little thing is that the "Use nearby bed?" script seems to have gone away, or it isn't functioning.
Glaurung26 Posted January 5, 2014 Author Posted January 5, 2014 When I get a moment I'll edit with a play by play of what's up. Mostly MCM taking forever to load a mod or not at all, collision antics, dialogue lag, and general lag.
Westburry Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 I have a similar problem (Racemenu and Sexlab related mods are slow or dont load at all) It started after I added Zynish animations. Although I haven't got it to work one hundred percent I've tried a few things that seemed to help... -Creating a new save game -lowering the resolution -re-installing Sexlab -Not trying to issue commands in Free-cam Mode -and when all else fails open MCM/Sexlab then exit the menu to kickstart an animation or get a hotkey to work (this doesn't help with dialogue lag however)
