I just started playing this game yesterday, and while playing I noticed some issues with the mod I posted for Yumia, so I made some fixes:

1. the character's butt was distorted when running and climbing ladders, fixed.
2. There was a gap between the head and neck joints, fixed.
3. slightly modified the textures.

No lenja, because I'm not interested in furry.

Finally, thanks again to @amorrow28 for making fdata_tools and other useful mod tools.
And of course, thanks to the creators of qrdbtool and fdata_dump tools.
With these useful tools, girls can realize the freedom of not wearing clothes.

Cant use this mod with @猫タビ Topless Swimsuit. Seem like the mod conflict with each other.

The texture was not corrupted.

Hello everyone!

A short third update for my modding attempt:

image.png.ec356664fc02ab2b7617d1ca2aea278d.pngimage.png.63a58b282b3e41ff94c4a2205bb197ba.png

Thanks to a litte help from a good friend of mine, two more problems I encountered have been resolved – the outlines are now as they should be, which also solved the strange reddish reflection on the skin texture.

The proportions have also been adjusted slightly in the current version... Yumia's legs are now longer, and she's generally a bit slimmer.

Now I just need to align the overlapping areas on the arms and torso in Blender, adjust the skin texture a bit (the current color is still a bit too pink) and hide the plushie (fortunately there is already a mod for that).

If it all works out in the end (and it certainly looks like it will), I'll add a few new information to the already existing tutorial – then, with a little effort, it should be possible to transfer practically any model into the game (assuming you have some Blender knowledge).

This will certainly appeal to normal end-users like @ArashiXXX and other modders who don't necessarily want to make only nude mods, as the additions will also allow individual parts of different models to be combined.

The model for this proof of concept was a random (poorly assembled) XPS model that I had downloaded at some point.

Thank to my good friend BananaBread for helping me with this one!

Oh, and sorry for the blurry screenshot above ;)

Until next time... have fun!

Awesome, I dont really like fully nude mods, I just don't like the idea of the main cast of a game fighting and talking to fully clothed people while they are butt naked, just makes me laugh. Reasonably skimpy and or custom outfits like this are just what I enjoy!

As a Lenja fan I am quite saddened.
I'm not a fan of furry too but for some reason I dont consider her to be.
Her face isn't furry (for me) at least.

Same I hope somebody can do a plump and/or nude mod for her.

Everyone is gonna point you to read the pages unless they have the time to explain. Find the mod manager, it will make it easier

Yes, if 2 mods modify the same files (models or textures), they will conflict.

I figured out how to remap some textures, so my Yumia nude and half-nude mods are now compatible with DLC outfits!  Light Alchemist, Waterside Alchemist, Athlete of Memories, and Black Rose Magician are all verified working.  Palette swaps still don't work, I have no idea how those work.  The new uploads are labeled v1.1.

Note: I am now replacing the testpc00a skin texture.  I have no idea if this texture is used in the game...  I hope not.

Enjoy!

I am always deeply grateful for your kind assistance.

I regret to trouble you during your busy schedule, but I would be most appreciative if you could share your insights on the following points.

1. Regarding the ktid File My understanding is that the ktid file serves to associate models with textures, and accordingly, I extracted a hash value.

However, as I was unable to locate an entry corresponding to the extracted hash value in the rdb file,

I am left questioning whether my inference is mistaken, whether the intended function of the ktid file is different from what I assumed, or whether the extracted hash holds little practical significance in the creation of mods.

2. Regarding the kidsobjdb and name Files Upon unpacking the kidsobjdb file, I discovered that it references the name file.

However, even after examining the contents of the name file with a binary editor, I found myself unable to fully comprehend its meaning.

This leads me to worry that my approach to analyzing the game might be misguided.

I would be most grateful if you could share your thoughts on this matter.

3. Regarding the Meaning of “shaderParamIndex” I also have doubts as to whether the content indicated by “shaderParamIndex” varies from model to model.

In the case of Ryza 3, I recall receiving advice to designate the value “3” for the skin portion, and I understood that this setting was uniformly reflected across all models within the game. I would kindly ask for your clarification on whether this interpretation is correct.

Although my understanding is still developing, I earnestly hope to benefit from your extensive experience and insight.

I sincerely request your guidance on these matters.

As you mentioned, I also feel that this model appears a bit too slim during gameplay (it feels noticeably slimmer compared to how it looks in Blender😓).

Regarding the legs and hip lines of the vanilla model, others have pointed out that they seem clearly off—perhaps because they were modeled with the assumption that they wouldn’t be visible during gameplay.

Currently, I am in the process of reworking the mod using the lower body of the swimsuit model as a base.

I would appreciate a little more time to complete it.

Yeah, I heard Yumia's lower body is partially clipped out due to her bodycon skirt in her default outfits so I figured this was the reasoning. Either way, looking forward to it

Also on the light Isla mod, not sure if it's my settings or such, but I've noticed the area above the thigh belts seem to be a different color then the skin, a faint white color.

Thank you for your feedback regarding the Isla mod.

Due to the modeling constraints of this game, I had to split the mesh above and below the leg garter, which unfortunately caused some unavoidable texture color inconsistencies given my current skill level (I’ve tried to mask this issue with the leg garter).

However, I have an idea to make the color changes less noticeable, and while I’m not sure if it will work, I plan to test it in the final version.

I’m also progressing through the game to add more companion characters, so I kindly ask for a little more time to complete this.

SUBMESHのshaderParamIndexはmesh_metadata.json内で言うところのSHADER_PARAMSのどれを使うかの指定です。

I am sorry, I thought I responded earlier but my post did not save and my phone was running out of battery!

The TKID files indeed are pointers to the textures. After some experiments in making my Yumia mod, I believe that they are probably scrambled hashes to root.rdb, but I think it is also possible that there is a large texture database that stores the separate hashes. The only conclusion I feel is correct is that it is not tied to a model-specific database, because I have successfully changed tkid values from one model's to another model's texture through trial-and-error. However, because the values are scrambled, changing the values can be very tedious.

I do not believe the kidsobjdb and name files are useful to us. I believe texture names were stored in such files in previous KT games based on some tools that I have explored, but Yumia does not seem to use these files for this purpose.

EDIT: I now have instructions for finding .g1t files here.

ShaderParam are the values in section 3 of G1M, but mostly they are not useful although some values may help. The most important value is the shader itself (it is an @ symbol followed by the 8-digit hex code in the MESH_LOD section) but the texture and shader parameters must be compatible. Generally any normal mesh shader can be used with any normal mesh, but you do not want to use cloth mesh (4D) shaders. I wrote more about this here: https://github.com/eArmada8/gust_stuff/wiki/Changing-Materials-(Textures-and-Shaders)

I sincerely appreciate the definitive clarification you provided regarding the points I raised—it has been immensely helpful.

Moreover, your reminder of the tutorial link, which you kindly introduced to me during my early days as a beginner, brought back memories of that time when I had not fully grasped certain aspects.

So, folks, this is it…Release Time!

Proof of Concept Costume Mod „Atelier Yumia Limited Inc.“ (Atelier Yumia)

Fig_1.png.857da082e6fc234bb535892d3704725f.png Fig_3.png.f6148f186c71a47cd6a2b62c5b4ebf62.png Fig_2.png.b2a3a47e064f412fa4100b0d4d0e2cb5.png

Oh man, this was a pretty tough nut to crack.

If I had originally known what I was getting myself into with this mod, I might have approached it a little differently... meaning a little more methodically and not just jumping in as usual.

But anyway... since it's only a proof of concept, I think the mod is in good enough condition to make it available to a few more people.

Of course, it's far from perfect, as far as mods of this kind (and my skills) are concerned - so here are a few comments that will surely be of interest to other modders.

Since I used a model with different proportions here, this led to some challenges when adjusting it afterwards:

The base used, for example, plays a big role in the final result. In this case, I used the simple nude model from amorrow28 (thanks again for that, by the way) to reduce the number of individual parts I'd need to build the final new model from.

Unfortunately, this was fraught with a few difficulties... most notably the fact that the arm parts in the base model don't connect "normally" to the torso, but instead partially merge into the shoulders and back.

This leads to texture distortions and gaps in the model when this structure is transferred to a model that doesn't have 99.99% of the same dimensions.

This could perhaps be remedied with appropriate weight painting in Blender, but since I'm not very good at it, I had to resort to other methods... so I manually closed the gaps, pasted the appropriate textures over them, and matched the individual parts of the model as best I could.

The base likely also determines some of the characteristics of the rendering. This costume has a plastic-like sheen under certain lighting conditions, which I believe is due to the fact that it was based on the basic "bare" skin texture, which has this shine by default in the game.

This could possibly be resolved by using a different base, but it would also further complicate the mod creation process... it will likely remain this way until someone finds a better method.

Furthermore, the game itself renders even small gaps in the model or protruding vertices in a way that looks like thick red lines or dots when moving. I haven't been able to figure out how to turn this off yet... it is certainly not affected by the outlines, which are relatively easy to adjust and turn off.

With a different model as base the results might be different, but I had to use what was available at the moment.

I tried to remove as much of it as possible or at least make it as invisible as possible, but forgive me if I didn't get everything right... it was just too much work for a proof of concept.

One thing I can say for sure: I don't recommend anyone starting with such a complicated base model (that was my biggest mistake when I started).

Just making the initial model editable took me practically an entire day, and if I ever add a second mod, I'll definitely start with a more simple model (a swimsuit or bikini, perhaps).

But anyway... I'll leave the mod here... already packaged for testing and as loose files.

Packed.zipResourceFiles.zip

Feel free to change and take them apart.

To get rid of the plushie on her hip, please use the appropriate mod from gggnog from this thread.

With the right skills and tools, it's certainly possible to integrate other models into the game and even feely combine them (like this mod here). This opens up interesting possibilities, especially since XPS models are (still) fairly easy to obtain.

And with that, I'll say goodbye for now... let's see, maybe I'll add a second (less complex) example.

Until then... have fun!

##### ##### ##### ##### #####

PS:

I'll try to answer any questions that may arise as best I can... but please forgive me if I take a while to reply.

I have to manage my limited time carefully at the moment (even this mod was originally supposed to take a bit longer, but since I've been "in the flow," I finished it much sooner than expected^^).

PPS:

I won't be improving this mod here any further, but will provide corrected files if necessary, should anything be wrong with them.

They work for me, so they should work for you too... but I make no guarantees ;).

PPPS:

I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me what hashes Yumia's normal face and eye textures have (if any of you know that). I already have an idea for another mod...

As for panties... well, it's probably doable. But it would require some texture work too, and right now I’d rather focus on finishing the game—so I’m not really planning to make any more mods anytime soon. Also, if an outfit feels too out of place in the game's world, I tend to lose interest while playing, so sorry—but at least for me, I’m not planning on making a topless Nina mod.

Just a little extra, but I’m leaving a version of Nina’s outfit with the chest opened up a bit. (Sorry if it doesn’t work )
Alright, I’m off to go enjoy the game—see you, and good luck.

I forgot to mention—I'm Japanese, so sorry if my English is a bit off.
