Shameless Mod Plugging

So I'm going to go on a ever so slight rant followed by something positive so bear with me.

Not to long ago i switched from NMM to Mod organizer. A damn good decision if i may say, its a superior product that actually protects your Skyrim game folder from getting crapped all over by any badly packaged mods. Anyways, in the process of converting mod managers (and banishing NMM from my PC forever) i have come to discover not all fo-mods are good or useful. There are some mod authors that apply fo-mods to their work that requires NMM assets (i.e. Nexus connection) to install the mod correctly. I can't berate the author, to each their own i guess, but i can't stomach the fact that they are requiring you to boot-lick nexus just to use their product. So i made a personal decision to simply not use any mods that require nexus fo-mods to install and that meant removing a number of mods i had been using for sometime. Among those mods i had used while i had NMM installed was Calientes CBBE body, it's a great mod, the textures were amazing and it was the body mod i has used 99.9% of my play-time. Until, that is when i banned NMM from my PC and tried to install CBBE on a mod manager that wasn't a nexus based one. While i did get the mod to work i felt chaffed that the fo-mod that came with the mod required that demon spawn named NMM to actually work properly. I had tried several body mods including UNP i but just couldn't bring myself to give up CBBE because i really did like the textures.

In one of my typical wandering sessions through the interweb i came across Halofarms website and noticed he was using a UNP body but the textures had that porcelain smoothness i had liked in the CBBE body. And whats this? not only was it a mod he had for upload but it was a fo-mod free body type. And here my wonderful LL friends comes the part where i shamelessly plug someones mod.....let my ass-kissing commence.

Alright, so i applied the texture mods in these pics to a base UNP body to see if i liked how they looked in-game and i do. There is a slight neckseam but it's not the full body mod either (the UNP Modest mod he supplies with the mod has no neckseam as far a i could see). The mod comes with several textures from a rough skin to the doll-like textures i prefer. It also has a couple of face options such as the smooth feature one i installed. Best of all the options are all in a single download file and packaged in a way that makes them easy to find. AND NO (nexus) FO-MODS  :D

I'm sure most of you guys knew about Halo and his work long before i did but for those of you who didn't here's link http://mod.dysintropi.me/

Yeah he has some good ones for both skyrim and oblivion I really like his Sinnocence for oblivion the chains are super HD and sprakly and look great when worn with nothing but the chains. http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/41675/?

That is a cool one. Now i want to buy Oblivion for PC.

It looks really good in game here is a screenshot of my player wearing it the lines on my player were from my ENB which has been since fixed. I was looking in the thread that I had posted it at but it seems I still had it in my upload folder.

Your post got me to go over and check some of his stuff out (I haven't in nearly a year I guess). I am really digging the UNPCM body type. If I didn't have to do so much downloading and installing I'd probably grab that one right now. In fact, I think I'll download it and save it for later anyway. :D

There are several good options that come with the body pack as well.

Yeah, it seems to really be awesome. I'm not into the "brood mother" tits you normally see Skyrim players using. I generally use the standard UNP BBB/TBBB body and have used UNPSkinny as well. They're far more realistic. And at least the UNP bodies actually have HIPS, something the CBBE bodies are lacking in (in my modest opinion).

Agreed, i would have switched to UNP a while ago if not for the fact i couldn't get over the skin texture. It's not bad, in fact, it almost looks a bit to realistic for my tastes. I had stuck with CBBE mostly out of laziness but i'm very glad i finally switched over to the semi-custom UNP i have now. The armor options for UNP are far more extensive than i had originally realized. I have finally made an armor set that i think i will finally stick with. I combined parts of two separate armor sets and the best part is they look like they go together.

Looking good, Core.

I am definitely a fan of the UNP body. SOOOoooo much support in skeletons/animations and in armor/clothing. Plus a lot of textures. I usually use hellosanta's SG Texture Renewal package (and there are optional files for different res's, hair/shaved, scars/no scars, etc.). I love that one. Mature Skin is nice and very realistic, but I don't think it has the options that SG TR has.

Do you have any links? It sounds like they have a lot of options that i might like to try.

As far as I know the "SG Female Textures Renewal" (and options files) are only on the Nexus. I like that the best so far. You can even get some options with it.

Maybe you just need a dummy account so you can download them (after reading you closed yours over there).

I'm not sure if you know, but hopefully this will help.

There's already this "chain only" version for skyrim. Here's the link:
