Samu Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 @nocturne well that depends, I usually snipe and its easier to snipe in 1st view (1st p view makes aiming and distance gauging easier) but for anything else I use 3rd p view.

[/quote'] absolutely. in 3rd person i cant really see if my arrow will fly just past that corner, or if it will hit the wall. also i'm used to play FPS games and topdown RPGs, so as this offers first person, i use it most of the time. i'd love to see my body just like in "dark messiah of might and magic". if i knew how to change the skeleton and BBBanimations to work in 1st person i'd have changed that months ago. but if anyone could do that, the person would be a real hero.
NocturneNight Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 Ah, I see. I also snipe in first person occasionally, but must say I have gotten quite good at firing my bow in 3d person aswell, not to mention when that melee monster gets close, I find it easier to keep moving and dodging while firing in 3d person. ^^ Regardless, just putting it out there, OP. Give it a chance, fighting in 3d person, and you will not need a view mod.
DeadSomething Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 i certainly dont like playing any shooter in 3rd person. playing "max payne 2" was a real "payne in the ass" but the story made it worthwhile. also about dodging: it works just as good in first person if you're used to it. i tried playing oblivion in 3rd... it looks good, but its unbearable. you never know what your cursor is aiming at, its hard to even open chests, pick up single objects froma pile and looting corpses, even engaging dialogue isnt easy in 3rd.
