MasaVK Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Don't like any of the vanilla homes so i'm looking to download a mod home, there are so many to choose from and so many of them are good i just can't decide, so what are favorite homes? It might help me in decinding one, lol.
Irrational Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 I've been using millwater retreat. I like the fact that it requires some effort to spiff it up. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36033/?
Smokermegadrive Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Most of the time i use Fort Gnisis (need Dragonborn)http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36315/? I think it's a very good and big fortress and have almost everything you need. This house in particular is in Morrowind (a world space actually), you need to access in the road that actually lead to morrowind, east of windhelm, and you will end in the fortressOther one that i use sometimeshttp://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/20241/? This is more nature oriented
Guest Ragna_Rok Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 from the modded onese i prefer the everspring grotto that the dude one post ago mentioned, its a nice retreat for werewolf-chars... with hearthfire you can build your own thingys... my most loved home will always be "lakeview manor"... with the treasury (i need lots of chests, am a hardcore-collector of stuff), the greenhouse (makes also bees and torchbugs sometimes fly around your home) and the armory wings built (must have for real orcs).
MasaVK Posted December 29, 2013 Author Posted December 29, 2013 Thanks guys, going to try all of them mentoned in here.
MissyB Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 I highly recommend Elysium Estate. It's one of the best home mods I've used. It has incredible amounts of custom storage, it's Hearthfire compatible and has really nice aesthetics. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/33939/? Also if you have a good enough computer to run it, I'd also recommend Aspen Manor. It's huge spacious, and Hearthfire compatible. It's lore-friendly, and not at the same time because some of the textures, but i'd give it a try. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/39400/?
h38fh2mf Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Definitely Haven Bag but I modified it to make the lighting look cooler, removed a bunch of useless stuff and added furnitude, fireplace and changed to big bed because I have around 3 NPC living there too and they need to sit and sleep somewhere Best part is you carry it around with you all the time.
xboronx Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 My favorite homes are: Bathing Beauties and Underground bathhouse for the occasional rest http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/11427/? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/27361/? And Evil Lair of Hydra and Vampire Slavers Den for evil characters and vampires http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12556/? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24336/?

That's pretty great. Looks like the file is no longer available, though. The above mentioned Bathing Beauties Underground Bathouse and the Elysium Estate are my current faves. The former is great for item and follower storage. The latter is great for screenies, both inside and out. My only complaint with Elysium is I wish the interior lighting was a little brighter. I suppose it depends on which ENB you use but still the default seems a bit too dark.
MasaVK Posted December 29, 2013 Author Posted December 29, 2013 Will try these ones out too. Having fun trying out all these homes, xD.
gvman3670 Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 I like Evil Lair of Hydra the most so far. It has all you need, tons of Lydia mannequins, lots of tortured women, a prison, an arena with chicks to fight for your pleasure, plus lots and lots of clones of NPCs running around (which work great with Aggressive Prostitution and Puppetmaster).
Jayce Dimmer Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 I just occupy the dungeons that I clear out. But maybe I'm just old fashioned.
Guest corespore Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=155582611 I have used the Dwemer Jar house almost since the beginning of my Skyrim gaming on PC. Like the haven bag it's one of those houses you carry with you, it has every crafting station and when you access each station all of the crafting ingredients you place in the corresponding chest are put into your inventory and then put back into the chest when your done crafting. I't not fancy though, just crafting stations a bed and a few storage options but it allows to store and make everything in the field so you'll never be without. Sadly, Nexus is up to it's normal non-functioning state so the only link i can post of it is the steam version but i'm sure you can find it easily enough if your interested. If your looking for something stationary the Bathing Beauties mod mentioned above is a good choice. It has the option of allowing a small army of followers to live there and it generated a rather large income if you allow customers to use the bath house as well. It also has new dialogue choices for your followers similar to the followers overhaul mod that give far more options on how they behave which is a good plus if you like followers that is.

Beds and chairs in your house are made of stone

Beds and chairs in your house are made of stone yes they are but they are "comfy" stone chairs and bed.
XunAmarox Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Proudspire with the Proudspire Refurbished mod and Lakeview Manor with Shezries Hearthfires Kitchens & Shezries Lakeview Greenhouse (the only thing I don't like is that there's nowhere I can put all my books). Breezehome FullyUpgradeable is also really good. There's not really any that I truly adore though. I'm actually in the market for a good new one. I'm thinking a castle... This one looks nice. I think I'll try it out.
