CyberKristi Posted January 31, 2025 Posted January 31, 2025 So it's happened, Hogwarts Legacy now has modding capability! https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/990080/view/541096269502742840 1
Shiro1104 Posted February 2, 2025 Posted February 2, 2025 So far I haven't seen anything that suggests that it's capable of custom animations... Also, 400GB creation kits...yikes... And most importantly, I haven't seen any mod made with said tool uploaded outside of Curseforge (which is under WB's moderation so no nudity, sex, etc... I'm happy to be prove wrong here tbh). 1
slimbones Posted February 4, 2025 Posted February 4, 2025 Modkit size is something that completely kills Unreal games modding in the crib. 1
animatedtiddy Posted March 29, 2025 Posted March 29, 2025 Yes this was actually really bad for the game. There was already a reasonable level of modding out using ue4ss for gameplay stuff and nude + beauty mods were around on other sites. But now it seems like the update broke those mods forcing everyone to either roll back or go with the official mods which can only be published through the official platform and so far are just embarrassing. Imagine if Bethesda had released the creation kit back in 2012 with the same creation club platform they have now and actively tried to prevent skse development 1
landess Posted June 23, 2025 Posted June 23, 2025 This is one of those games which force me into Cryo mode to play (make the room so cold I hate it but the PC doesn't overheat and reboot). I only have a few but it shows me they use the same level of 'optimization' that Apple programmers used when the Macintosh was introduced - NONE. Anyone with half a brain knows mods are a bane to the developers/creators whom see them as an affront to their 'creativity'. So seeing the the tools needed are 'impractical' leads me to believe it's ALL ON PURPOSE which tends to be right more often than not.
