So, messing for a couple of days, I was able to port it for the first time ever. I need to fix the skeleton for the animations to work and figure out the details for her textures, especially her eyes (now her pupils are huge, she's got gorilla/vampire eyes).

Fixing her neck where it joins with her head won't be difficult.

Regarding the texture images, right now I'm just guessing for the name code of the image files, for example: Tifa_skin_N = Detail normal, Tifa_skin_C = Color, Tifa_Skin_O = Occlusion (?).

If any of the more experienced dudes here would be so kind as to tell which image texture goes into which value parameter for the materials in UE, or share a tip on how to recognize where they go according to their color (purple images, red and bleck, etc), it would be great. Once the process is done, it won't be difficult to modify her shape and experiment further with pumping mods lol.

Looking good! ND has been my favorite Tifa mod since Remake. Hoping for some really nice physics with this mod in Rebirth. I am not sure if this will help as I am still pretty noob with UE but here is a screen shot of material I learned to make. Maybe it will help? Its been a while since I practiced with UE. I think you guessed the code of the image files correctly. But I'm hoping you can spot where to place your parameters with these basic materials. Wish I could help more, I gotta get back into my own progress with UE and modding.

woah this is my favourite mod too since remake released, can you share the tutorial video? is it possible to get the model from illusion game like honeyselect2.

@theansell The tutorial video is posted a few pages back. It is not a tutorial for this particular mod (I wish), nor is it enough to complete a mod if you don't have any experience, like me (that's why it's taking me so long). I have to stop and watch other videos, ask here, etc. But it's fun... if you have the time.

 

 

This is the Tifa ND model from Kazuhiro, everyone's favorite. And I discovered that it even has a vagina and a rectum cavity full with textures and all! Something that we won't see during a Final Fantasy game, but there they are... The guy is a pro, either he did it all by himself, or he ripped and modded a hentai game, or some 3d model for medicine study. He even applied his own skeleton for extra jiggly physics, which I tried to maintain, messing up all the animations in my very first try. I think some other modders just edited his work, or they all use the same source, like HoneySelect, or something.

This might be off-topic, but I've made a new account to properly engage on loverslab, and I've seen the Tifa Shrinemaiden bikini mod being ported by someone.

First of all: great job!

I haven't been as active lately due to irl stuff, and I really don't mind it if people share files privately or do ports by themselves. I personally know a few who did so already, and I'm totally fine with it.

To be honest, I was kind of bummed to see the download was no longer available xD But I did plan to port that mod myself after editing the vanilla outfits. The textures were patched together and the whole thing just was really messy and had some clipping issues.

 

I still need to clear the game myself, but seeing so many people actively engage with modding and how many hours some have played, I'm very hyped to eventually play it while on vacation.

If some of you have questions or some super secret tips, feel free to message me! I might not respond immediately, but I'm trying my best

@Legendary_Sensations If you are referring to the stockings that Tifa has in one of the mod's versions, yes it is possible because there is no need to retouch the 3D model.

Right now I'm figuring how to sculp a little because I can't find the right textures for her feet and I need to Frankenstein her a little. Then I need to figure out/ask more about textures or the result won't look as good, especially the effects for when she is wet, etc.

The most difficult part is me being the furthest thing from a pro😣

This is the path to becoming a pro pepejpn. You're doing great! I've been into modding Skyrim for like 11 years now and learned some UE basics. But never made a mod. After getting burnt out on Skyrim, Remake and Rebirth have inspired me even more. Seeing what you're doing, Rebirth and Tifa alone are inspiring me to work on my own mods and also be able to help people doing things like this with the Tifa ND mod. I got a lot to learn though, I even need a refresh on the UE material basics. I don't even know how to get these  Tifa_skin_N = Detail normal, Tifa_skin_C = Color, Tifa_Skin_O = Occlusion , to play around with in UE. But I'm thinking I gotta get started, I want to have some of my favorite character models on different costumes. Like Tifa ND for standard outfit, hopefully a topless Shrinemaiden with the thong for another costume etc... for every character to be able to switch between my favorite costumes that over ride all or only standard. And maybe eventually my own character mods. I'll share any info I find that might help your progress. I fucking love this game, its epic, its fun and you guys are making it even more beautiful than it originally was.

That is crazy good work. I personally think that unless there are some highly inappropriate or immoral reason to remove a mod, its most definitely because they ripped off from some other media. Like Jedi Trees for Skyrim, looked so good. Took me forever to find it. Took trees from some engine, forget what exactly they ripped, but yeah was a big no no but my forests look amazing. If someone is making original quality like this they are for sure selling it. If someone isn't sharing or even selling high quality like this, good odds it is for sure ripped.
