There was an Aerith mod for FFVII Remake called Nude Aerith 4K Photorealism created by Spooder that was removed.
But you can find mods based on this mod, like

You can find the original mod in the attachment (at least I think it's this mod. I can't check to confirm right now).
Maybe someone can and wants to port this mod to FFVII Rebirth?

I wish they would work on the commander and other characters that don't have mods yet, rather than Aerith and Tifa... I know there's no point in writing this on a message board where there are no modders.

It was removed? That sucks, why? It was by far my favorite Aerith mod. I would also love to see it ported if spooder is cool with it... I just checked to see if I still have it somewhere myself but apparently not, welp.

Yes, if you don't create the mod with 100% original assets made by you or if you have not altered/modified game assets by a highly recognizable and appreciable degree. Alternatively, if you actually get permission from either the game company or artist that you have chosen to use assets for your own mod then it would NOT be copywrite/intellectual property infringement.

Technically, no. Problem is that there are innumerable numbers of folks who do and who is going to enforce it? Technically, it's on the owner of the original assets being used to press charges but then you start getting into the merit/worth of taking an issue to court and whatnot. Some companies will do that. Nintendo is notorious for going hard after modders and such though usually only to the extent that they force a modder to remove their mod from the public sphere. That said, I have heard of instances of them taking folks to court for things like copywrite infringement. 

 

In the end it is probably more an issue of ethics and morals. Some folks don't take any issue with bending the law or breaking it as long as "everybody else does it" or as long as they don't get caught. In the end though they are still breaking rules and once you do that where do you stop? The other issue is the cost of paid mods to begin with. Many folks don't like it because they don't have the money or still believe in the spirit of freely sharing mods with the community. Others believe it is ok because it supports the modders and their work.

On Patreon the ideal is the ones that have a subscription for $10 and give you access to ALL their mods, that's if you can afford it.

But modders like FrancisLouis have made bad practices, a friend of mine mentioned to me that he is subscribed to his patreon but the $10 membership fee is only for new mods, the old ones he is deleting to put them in a more expensive membership instead of making that $10 fee to see absolutely all the mods he has published since he started his patreon.

Modding is similar to other fan created works in that there are usually grounds to DMCA or sue but companies (mostly) don't care because it ultimately draws more attention to their work and is beneficial to them in the long run. Adult mods are more contentious since they typically go against the desired image of a company but even then few actually take legal action. On an ethical level I don't think the current copyright system in most countries is good or moral and largely serves more to fuck people over and stifle creativity than provide anyone protection. Laws are manmade and not infallible rules of right and wrong. Most of us are violating the EULA by installing *any* mods already anyway.

Yes, I once made the mistake of giving him $10. According to his terms and conditions, for that price you have access to everything. However, apart from just a few mods that he had made that month, he had deleted the download links to everything else. His instructions were to message him with requests for what mods you want and he would give them to you. I asked for all of his mods as per what I paid for. He baulked at my request saying it was too much work and ridiculous. I didn't want to press the issue since I am pretty damn sure Patreon won't do a damn thing about it and because I still wanted to at least get something worth $10. In the end I still got many of the mods but not all.

I'm honestly getting pretty tired of the constant bashing in this thread. Have you noticed how almost no actual modders are participating? It’s because of the nonstop disrespect toward them.

 

Some modders charge $10 per mod, some charge $5, and some use a subscription model who cares? The LoversLab staff has already said it before: if you don’t like the price, don’t pay. It really is that simple. Complaining about paying $10 and getting nine months of content and most of the mods just makes you look ungrateful.

 

Of all the modders out there, you chose to call the one offering the most reasonable deal "scummy" while ignoring the ones charging $10 per mod? That just doesn’t make sense. Honestly, his Rebirth mods alone are worth more than the price, yet instead of recognizing that, some of you would rather tear down modders.
