Adamasin Posted January 20, 2025 Posted January 20, 2025 (edited) Sorry if this is the wrong forum; just getting into SSE because I've got as far as I can go with some things in LE, and got into SE through VR. The amount of evolution in character mods (body, face, etc) in SE are insane. I know, for instance, there exists the ability with the current body and physics generation that allows one to wear heavy armor, but have cleavage visibly bounce. So, I'm actually looking for a 3BA "Hmm, What to Wear" SSE port, as my Green Pact Bosmer playthrough wore mishmashed fur and what-not from that mod. Also, I'd like some recommendations, like the above-mentioned plate-with-cleavage physics... I like SIP armors too, in particular, if anyone has any recommendations in that regard as well... EDIT: Also, I have no ENB yet; that might make things look a bit better, even if I've never been a fan of them: I used ankoENB, is there an SE port or something similar? danna233 Posted January 20, 2025 Posted January 20, 2025 Vanilla armor replacer, I use version 2.0, is in the old files. In my opinion, this is the most realistic armor. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/98945?tab=description As for ENB, if you have a powerful computer, you can install any one you like from the Nexus. If the computer is weak or average, then you will have to select the preset yourself, this is a rather heavy graphics editor, kills fps.

It should be fairly powerful, but I've also been abusing it... but do you know anything similar to anko? Something character-centric? But that armor is interesting, thanks! It seems mostly faithful to vanilla Skyrim, except for the guards and the fur... It's definitely worth looking into! How does 2.0 differ? Edited January 20, 2025 by Adamasin

anjenthedog Posted January 21, 2025 Posted January 21, 2025 head on over to Nexus, create an account iff you don't have one, and use the "mod categories" tab to isolate to armor, or perform a search from their search bar containing "3BA armor", or perform a widenet search (browser level) using the search term "skyrim special edition 3BA armor" As for ENB, if your system is "marginal", I might suggest looking into the Community Shader offerings, and augment it with mods like Real Clouds

I know how to find mods on my own, just kinda looking for recommendations. Thanks though. 1

If building from scratch id suggest foregoing ENB completely and going with Community Shaders. Project has active development community and by now can cover most (all?) of ENB functionality, often better than ENB itself while being much more performance friendly. As for general reccomendations - biggest upside of SSE is Precision (IMO). It makes it possible to completely un-fuck skyrims mellee combat and make it downright enjoyable. Not sure if those available on LE, but: Elden Rim is a ton of fun, Valhalla combat is awesome. BFCO is nice, albeit its difference from MCO is marginal from my experience. Regarding armors - for tribal look H2135 FS5 or FS9 would do quite well, BDOR Guardian is another solid option. BDOR armors are overall sweet, with a feminine look while mostly avoiding outright bikini armor looks. Specificly for cleavage bounce in plate - well, either look for raalistic SMP for armor of your choosing, or better yet spend a bit of time in Outfit Studio, its fairly easy to do by yourself for any armor that allready has BS files for your chosen body type.
Adamasin Posted January 22, 2025 Author Posted January 22, 2025 Thanks! Also, while I'm not looking for any overall stealth replacers, one thing I've never been able to find a fix for, LE or otherwise, is bandit lookout detection. They seem to have an outright 360 degree detection radius-- of near-infinite range-- where if they have a clear line of "sight" (even if not facing you), they can see you. This is only an issue for the various NPCs around Skyrim that shout "I'm warning you, back off!". Don't have to be close enough to trigger it; but they completely prevent stealth, and track with you no matter what you do-- as long as you can see them, they automatically see you. For the love of god, I just started my Morag Tong playthrough over, and I'm so sick of it-- especially since 3 or 4 of my favorite early-game dungeons have bandits like that. Somehow I thwarted the Embershard Mine lookout, but I dread getting to Valtheim Towers. Is there a fix that anyone knows of?

Yeah, I'm aware that the breast physics thing isn't unique to SE, just, I've never been able to get any of the newer physics systems that support it to work; AFAIK HDT, which I've been stuck with in LE, doesn't allow for it like CBPC and SMP do... just couldn't get them to work with my LE setup-- which is a little ancient tbh. Also, I'm pretty horrible with Outfit Studio. I know how to ZAP, I can probably make my own mashup of armors, but weights are beyond me... And yes, I love H2135 Fantasy Series; I've used one or two of them in the past, including the Sylvanas-inspired one; and skimpiness doesn't matter to me, as a lot of times if something is super-skimpy it's good for a mashup. Also, which BDO Guardian? Guardian is a class; trying to google it brought up a few outfits. And yeah, I like BDO's style for a few things in Skyrim-- Genderbent Berserker gear has been my go-to for Barbarian-type characters, and Musa/Maewha gear is great for an Akaviri feel (although I also wish I could find a solid Akaviri or Rim-Men race-- a lore-friendly Asian race that isn't at all Tsaesci adjacent. Nexus doesn't have one. There's an Akaviri race, but it spits venom and has snake-eyes. Incidentally, does anyone know any Imperious-compatible/styled races? There was a pack of them on LE, but I can't find them on SSE even though I'm pretty sure it was a backport... Edited January 22, 2025 by Adamasin
