Considering both Zaki's and mine are named and there really isnt that many possible sources, my guess would be the compression format. Since I really liked Zaki's tattoo's I went with the same organization and format for the .dds files Zaki used. We both use BC7_UNORM compression for the .dds files. The LE versions use DXT5 (BC3), so first thing I'd do is try it with the LE version as other tattoo packs that dont have a extra LE version are likely to use that as well. Depending how this mod creates its previews it may not be able to read the bc7 compressed .dds files, at least that would logically make sense. I'd assume a lot of tattoo packs would use BC1 as that saves a lot of space and is really enough for textures that are greyscale, dont need transparency and quality isnt that important with some basic ass tattoo scribble. Second guess would be resolution mine and Zaki's both use 4k which is absolutely unnecessarily high and it wouldnt surprise me if most other tattoo packs would go with something lower. If that is the case there is different tools out there to just scale it down. Since I dont use this mod (yet) and I'm kinda too lazy to bother to look into something that isnt a problem for me tbh someone that wants to fix it for themselves can try and see if that is the source of the "issue".

Well I just use a slightly modified version of the b612 menu, so I have no idea what is needed for it to show. I also don't think it's that much of a problem.
Crota Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Love the idea, I know slavetats is kind of janky for interacting with so this definitely helps. Since you seem to have agood working knowledge of it do you think its possible to combine tats into a single slot with a mod like this? For instance, you have a breast tattoo for each side, could they be combined into one to free up another slavetats slot?
Guest Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Hi! Can you please make a mod that fixes a big problem with SlaveTats? When any original SlaveTats applied to CoTR faces, they break them (texture misliagment), because default non converted slave tattoos weren’t designed for CoTR faces. The solution would be to create a CoTR directory for conversions and apply only CoTR-compatible tattoos to characters that have the CoTR keyword. I pretty much understand how to do it myself, but I don’t really know SKSE or Papyrus. So it should be easy-peasy for you, I assume. Can you help?

If I understand you correctly, that can only be done with a mod that changes how the base slavetats works. Such mods are generally seen as bad, as those are incompatible with other mods that would change how that mod applies. Also how slavetats are saved doesn't really tell skyrim with what it is compatible. Why do you even want such a mod exactly?

I use NPC replacer with COTR faces and default face textures apply to them badly
