DeepBlueFrog Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 If anyone is interested, I made a personal patch for Warm Bodies to address a gap I always wished was provided by FrostFall - heat gains from running, sprinting, riding a horse and combat. What's the weather around you when you are having sex? Warmbodies works well for cold weather.. but it doesn't work in the middle of a blizzard.

If you do strenuous activity that involves sweat, that'll actually cool you off in the long run, kind of like alcohol in frostfall. Also, I'm pretty sure riding a horse would straight up make you colder since there's more windchill and not much more physical exertion than sitting.

Sex in the snow works when it is sunny. In the middle of a blizzard, the effect is useless.

I've even died (or passed out and found by a travelling person of some sort) having sex just outside the front gates of Solitude...

I also keep on dying when having sex in cold weather and NO its not a blizzard it can be just a simply cold area and my character will die? Is there something that a few of us are missing possibly? Is there any other mods that keep you from freezing during sex while using FF? Please help if possible as of yet nothing has worked with this to keep me from freezing... Thanks for the time and your help Great idea for a mod just can't get it to work

I didn't know about the upcoming Frostfall 3.0. I will consider fixing Warm Bodies after 3.0 is released but I will need time to check out how different it is. I also have a Frostfall add-on for Sanguine Debauchery I will have to update when that happens. As for compatibility with SexLab 1.6, I am currently using 1.6 with my patched version of Warm Bodies and I did not notice anything strange but I also did not specifically test getting warmth after sex. That said, I am not expecting any issue based on what I have seen from 1.6 so far.

I vaguely recall being aware of your patch way back when I first installed Warm Bodies, though I never did try it. I would give it a shot now, but I'm perilously close to starting the major undertaking of stripping out Frostfall 2.6 and all of its derivatives in anticipation of FF3.0 (I'll probable start once Campfire 1.1 is released). I will certainly be interested in seeing FF patches updated for 3.0, and I look forward to trying Warm Bodies Plus when it comes along. For those still unaware of Campfire and Frostfall 3.0, I highly recommend checking them out on that other website where so many mods come from. In short, Frostfall is being broken up into the camping part (which has already been released) and a separate hypothermia part (coming "soon"). It is a major rewrite with a lot of streamlining, optimizing, and new features. It is not expected to be compatible with existing Frostfall mods.

Thanks That looks correct. Remember that warmth during sex is only a small amount added in between sex stages. In other words, you only receive heat when the animation changes during sex. It is also a small amount, meaning you should not expect to have sex in a blizzard and survive it.

I will be testing it for a few days and release the update by the weekend. SD+ compatibility with Frostfall will come soon after.

I'm always happy to have more ways to not freeze to death but i thought the SexLab Framework already had some Frostfall stuff built in. v1.61: NEW: Frostfall 3.0 support, exposure will automatically pause during animation so you don't freeze to death. Unless your patch deals with more than the actual Sexlab scenes I guess?

I didn't know about SexLab support, that's nice. What SexLab Warm Bodies does is to reduce exposure when sex scenes change stages (get you warm between changes of animations). I will have to test it with the update of Warm Bodies to see if nothing happens or if the player gets warm.
