The Last Nova Backrooms - A Pirate Brothel

Requirements

  • KZ Aggregation of Scraps: Is optional. Adds default outfits for the hookers. If it’s not installed the hookers will be naked by default.
  • SAF - Deputy NAF*: Is required only for the sex animations. If it’s not installed the animations will be skipped.
  • Robert S Male Body Replacer**: Is the currently supported male body. If it’s not installed the male player will not have a penis during animations.
  • A female nude skin is recommended to remove underwear during animations.

* Make sure to also install the mod's requirements for it to work!
** Requires SF Extended Skeleton

Introduction
Welcome to The Last Nova Backrooms, where the rather prude atmosphere of the Last Nova gets a little more… lively. Deep down in the Key, you’ll find Cain Vortega’s brothel. This is where all the fun happens, with new characters and a place to unwind.

What’s in the Mod?

  • The Backrooms: A swanky brothel, accessible through the Last Nova.
  • Five unique, fully voiced hookers in the Last Nova.
  • Sex animations
  • You can fully customize the hookers’ outfits using the mannequin behind Vortega’s counter.


Future Plans

  • Sex animations (Added in v1.2.0)
  • Customizable outfits for the hookers (Added in v1.1.0)
  • Add FF animations
  • Add sound to animations
  • Let the player become the owner of the Backrooms
  • Let the player work for the Backrooms

A Note on Traitors
If you sided with SysDef at the end of the Crimson Fleet questline… well, congrats on being a traitor! The mod will automatically disable itself when you attack the Key because, let’s face it, the Backrooms probably wouldn’t survive a military invasion.

Installation
Install it like any other mod. Use a mod manager.

Troubleshooting
If something breaks with the mod, you can reset it using Vortega’s computer (located behind his counter in the Backrooms).
If that doesn’t help, try the following:

  1. Load your save without the mod enabled.
  2. Save the game and quit.
  3. Re-enable the mod and load your fresh, clean save.

Couple of bugs:  when I got to The Last Nova the dialogue doesn't work.  It turned out the quest wasn't running. I'm not sure why since you have it flagged to run on game start, but it worked fine once I (re)started it manually.

 

Also, you have some edits that don't seem intentional, like some of the Crimson Fleet quests and Andreja's NPC record which are ITMs of the originals.  Not a huge problem but you'll want to clean your plugin of that type of things.

 

On the plus side, the new additions work as expected.  The Back Rooms area is nice.  Your hookers are super cute and they sound great, their dialogue is fun and clever.

 

I made a little plugin that integrates some of KZ's outfits as I mentioned above:

The plugin requires KZ's Aggregation of Scraps and your mod.  I attach both the esm (small master, for playing / testing) and an esp of it (as source, should not be used for playing).

 

Feel free to modify and/or include this as an optional download if you like.

Thx for the feedback. This happens to me as well but only if I first load a save in which the hookers are disabled (post CF08_SysDef). It makes sense that the quest won't start with the hookers disabled as the aliases will fail to fill. But I have no idea why this affects the next save you load, my only guess is that the game doesn't properly reinitialize quests on loading a save (for optimization, speed, idk). I will look into it.

I think I cleaned up the worst of it in 1.0.1 but I will make sure to keep an eye on that in the future.

I like your choice of outfits, sure look good. I'll gladly put ur .esm up for download as an optional file for the time being.

However the way my quest script currently works, they will put on a random outfit from the LL when redressing, so i will have to redo the whole outfit stuff at some point anyway.

Nope, currently they are disabled when you attack the Key. To make that feel immersive I would have to turn the Last Nova into a SysDef bar/brothel. (Would be weird if there’s only hookers in the Nova.)

It's not something I'm unwilling to do in the future, just not a priority atm.

Although there isn't a dedicated framework, I've made some .glp files from blender you could use from my mod (pushing a big update in the next few days that you could reference). If you want, I could give you the .glp files early so you had something to work with.

Once I figured out how to add audio to Starfield I plan to restart enslaved - which is mainly focussed on player prostitution. And I like mods like this - as long as they are not released as small or medium ESM - because those are no-no for modders. So if this mod is esp or standard master I consider this as a potential playground.

 

 

Oh, it's a medium ESM - so unusable for modders. Bummer!

tested on an old save and I really like this mod but this save is damaged and I don't want to start the game again 😁
too bad this mod is not also for the SysDef

I hope there will be a version for SysDef
the problem with the Crimson is that they represent 2/3 of the *enemies* and therefore on the planets most of the base buildings etc etc they are friendly ... 

so more tourism than combat. 🙃

i think, it would be a great idea, if there were "backrooms" in the trade authority in "The Den"....

and the option to work there would really a great option...

maybe being send there by the "auction house"

It's not something I'm unwilling to do in the future, just not a priority atm.

You could leave it as is but make it a dirty little secret within sysdef, since the station is supposedly only being lightly occupied by sysdef while they wait for the councils decision on what to do with the key. Say like a group of the pirates that weren't at the key during the fight bribed the sysdef security that was left on the key to allow them to keep the brothel open. And also if the player owned the brothel sysdef might look the other way for the "hero" to run it. Maybe even if the player is female the pirates find a way to blackmail the player into working there and let the sysdef guards have a free go with their hero as part of the bribe to keep the brothel open.

I read that you were waiting for a framework or F/F animations,
but could you make your mod work with Nafseduce?
If interested, I modified a mod with the creator's permission to make *player* women wear a dick/strapon. :)

Thanks to mods like this, the game has better content and becomes much more interesting, greatly improving the gameplay experience. I haven't encountered any problems playing with this mod. I love the idea and how it integrates into the game, a place where space pirates can have fun and squander the credits they've looted. Thanks for this mod, it works very well. I'm very excited to see future updates to see what this great mod turns into and what experience it will bring to my game.

Thank you very much for all the effort in developing this mod.

If NAF ever does get updated or fixed or replaced with a similar sex framework, will this be continued or developed? i could see this being even better with animations and other similar theme locations. :) I love this! even without the sex framework, it adds such a darker sexier feel to the game. Starfield needs to feel sexually sinister and dark in places.

some news, (im taking with a grain of salt but hopeful)
but some dude commented on the NAF page that he had updated it and was working on updating CCF.

Honestly I would even take at this point pure text system or quest mod like Problems of Survivor for Fallout or Troubles of Heroine.

The Nexus Mods user Mielu91m is actively making a replacement for NAF and it's dependency. Says it should be ready for upload potentially within days. They're posting updates to it on the NAF pages comments
