So, I have an Acer Iconia tab that I got used from Amazon.

More recently noticed soem scratches that had formed on the surface, if from regular use or an accident, I cannot say.

Anyway, I was wondering if there was a way to remove/ fill them in.

I though about trying some eyeglass scratch remover, however I want to be sure before I try anything, as some said it might ruin the screen in some way, though I also know some like to pretend they know what they're talking about.

From what I have seen it depends on what the screen is made out of and you probably will not be able to get the completely out. Some say find a new screen for it. There is no other way to remove the scratches completely and then you can buy a protector for the touch area, I think you can buy them by amazon. There are many others that popped up when I did a search.

Hmm, there are some fillers out on the market that (partially) fill up these scratches (windshields, telephone displays, etc). You could give that a shot, I've had some great experience with that stuff with my old Nintendo DS.

As suggested above, you've also got covers that prevents scratching.

this is for the A200 but basically the same process for most.

also replacement digitizer screens are pretty reasonable on ebay

it is a long process though.
