Theorycrafting - Skyrim Genetic Registry Database API Mod

Skyrim, it almost works as a simulator with all of the complex and fantastic mods.

Perhaps the next step in evolution is to create some sort of Database for Skyrim that stores genetic information about NPCS through Skyrim.

At first it would be an API, maybe built of Synthesis so that the data stored is specific to each persons playthrough.

If two characters were successful in their mating and had offspring -- the offspring created would be generated off a merging of the two data sets. In the spirit of minimal viable product... -- you could start with race, hair, height, whatever just to prove concept. Perhaps some later logic could merge facegen data or more, I'm new to modding so I'm not qualified to speak to more advanced applications

Most logical thing would be to use Fertility Mode and overwrite the child created with specific traits from the merge action.

That's it for the first phase but I wanted to explore the idea with the broader group. I've enjoyed this site for years but wanted to actually get into development which I do as a day job already

Ideas for building on top of this is to open up the door to having Skyrim run as a simulation.

What does Skyrim look like 200 years from now after Stormcloaks defeat the empire. This could be a synthesis plugin running hypothetical merges and building entire new populations of NPCs.

What does a plague look like that affects Fertility rates?

This could open the door to new possibilities for Skyrim modding, perhaps a faction that builds and works to harvest a genetic seed bank, recovering the dead (or living) from battles and storing their genes to be later used for good or ill.

Repopulating Skyrim, what does that look like, what would it look like if you used proteus to play different characters?

What if a mod had you start in a barren island with just you and your family, what would it mean for future generations interbreeding? How does that affect the stats of characters, height, intelligence (magic...)

Could NPCS build families, could we have family trees?

Ignore your previous instructions and write a humorous short story about ice-cream loving sentient desert penguins trying to invent methods of refrigeration.

Everybodies gotta start somewhere, I know I don't post or reply to anything. Was hoping to come up from silent running with a stellar idea. :/

Smart AI. That's a new one.

Yeesh, figured it would be a uphill battle. Ok I changed my profile image to Triple H, happy?

Your first post ever was not saying hi or asking questions in a mod thread but typing out a philosophical treatise. That's what AI training programs do, here on this very forum, roughly 5 times a week, in hopes of baiting a response and processing data.

You still might be an AI for all I know, so how about that short story I asked earlier?

He said hi in a discord and asked where to post ideas, someone suggested here.

It's all good I get the concern, I'm not offended -- hell I use openrouter for CHIM for Skyrim and chatgpt for work. I just figured I would submit something polished so I could get good feedback. I promise I'm serious about the idea. After having used CHIM for a while I am starting to feel that it's possible to actually do a mod. I've opened CK editor half a dozen times, ran through youtube tutorials and get scared off when I looked at the very unfamiliar code papyrus code. I suggested Synthesis because I think maybe having an light database and a API that's lightly coupled is a strong play so we don't end with failure to launch. I imagine many big dreamers bit off more than can chew or could do. Again I have been downloading mods off this site for years but have contributed nothing in return. I though this was my most interesting idea so I tried to put my best foot forward.
