Hang on, so the Devs came out and admitted they didn't mean to kill us for Modding.  I freaking love these guys. 

 

I am so in favor of pro-client side mod devs.  Holy cow I am so in favor.  Let me see if I'm unbanned.  lol

I'm on Nexus Mods right now trying to download Project Galacta. It says I need to drop the files into the Paks folder and not the ~mods folder. Is that something that can issue me another ban? Or is it safe? I'm not trying to take any risks.

Just put them into the packs folder along with Project Galacta.  That's all.

It's saying put the mod container in there.  But just drop the !ProjectGalacta files into the paks folder and it will manage them.  You'll see it when you launch the game.

I can confirm the ban is lifted and that removing unmount blocker allowed playing with all mods working. 

 

Will update if I catch another ban on it.  I am not using ANY config or cheat mods, just mass gooner content.

I may be in the minority on this one, but I feel we need some more Bleached mods. I see all these blacked ones, and hey if thats what you like, im not here to yuck your yum, but I want to see some mods for girls who are White Only

Did they unban us? I was able to get into the game just fine. I should mention that as soon as I was banned, I uninstalled the game; I reinstalled it later to see when the ban would be lifted, and when I launched it, I went straight into the game client—no warning or anything. It’s as if I had never been banned at all. Was it a mistake, and am I actually still banned, or did they really unban us?

They unbanned anyone that was banned in the last two days but if you keep using unmount blocker you will be banned again. It looks like project galacta is safe though.

Awesome—is there a link, video, or something that explains how to install Project Galacta? I want to make sure I do everything right so I don’t get banned again.

Just drag and drop in into your mods folder on in your Marvel Rivals game folder, the same spot you put all the rest of your mods.

So, using UTOC and Project Galacta guarantees the mods will work and ensures I won't get banned? Or could UTOC actually screw me over?

Currently no guarantee.  I read it as being focused on tracker and modifications to environment meshes and making characters extremely large or tall or bright.

 

However, this does cover any mods that change the character models, if they wish to enforce it.  Being Chinese it's likely they did this, undid it, and will not enforce it again unless it becomes a problem.  It's kinda their way.  


They DID specify they wish players to be able to customize their experience--so long as it does not impact the competitive mix.
