If you really want to make sure there's no funny business in your files, I recommend to open the launcher for the game, and in the settings, press the "Clear Local Redundant Files", and should clear all of the foreign files it thinks you have, and then try reinstalling UTOC, if that does not work, press the "Clear Local Redundant Files" and go to steam to verify the files integrity, and then Install UTOC again, if that does not work again, the last resort is a clean install, Uninstall it and then install it again 👌🤔!

And it worked. I don't know what caused it—a simple error during game/utility installation or some data from a year ago, but your method worked and everything worked as it should. Thank you for taking the time to help me. Good luck and have a nice day.

I was playing with mods last night with no issue.

 

People who are being banned are ABSOLUTELY cheating or using Tracker apps which is considered cheating because it reveals hidden information.

 

There is NO CHANCE the devs care about client side skin and audio mods because they INCLUDED A CHECK FOR SKIN MODS IN THEIR PHOTO BOOTH SINCE YOU CAN SHARE THE PICTURES IN GAME.

 

This is clear proof they understand the skin mods, they know about them, and they just ask that you turn them off to take a photo.   To me this is 100% confirmation they are not targeting client side experience mods. 

And I am happy they are targeting cheaters.

 

I actually think the UTOC bypass WORKS but doesn't stop them from monitoring WHAT we're using.  So they allow us to bypass for the skins and then if they see someone bypassing with a restricted protocol or gathering information from server side, it lets them know.

 

That's what I would do, so it makes sense.

As far as I know mods are "allowed" in comp just as it is in quick play, i think the guy in the post was referring to mods thay give you an advantage like config no screwnshake mods rather than cosmetic mods

 

Think he's trying to say that the people who claim they're getting banned for cosmetic mods were also using mods for a competitive advantage and blaming it on the cosmetic mods to fearmonger

Mods that alter visual clarity and similar are not allowed. Skin mods should not fall under that category. Things like lighting changes on the map do fall under TOS violation iirc,
