There was a mod that swapped Spider-Man default to Spider-Punk (even before the skin released), it quickly got removed from nexus but someone made a backup on DEG. It's still there afaik, but I don't think it got updated or smth

It was the only time I saw someone swap a paid skin as the default one.

Guys, guys. None of this targets mods.  The game is being updated, the methodology for streaming in-game content is upgrading.  This is pretty normal for UE games that don't have ACTIVE mod support.  They make changes like Serialization and IOStore we pretty much expected was coming.

 

Absolutely nothing about the way they've updated this makes it feel like they were targeting the fun visual mods, they are much more likely just making the game more streamlined and blocking cheats via paks. 

 

I have purchased 20/23 skins owned to enable mods, not because I wanted the skin in game.

This won't change anything. People will still push the narrative and call you names because she "looks young", and Nexus will continue to ban her mods.

Nexus has been rotten for a while now. Probably its popularity led to that.

With the addition of new, paid content, I'm starting to understand more and more why they are so actively opposing mods.Adding a paid recolor for paid skins may not be an original idea, but why be like bad examples?After release of Season 2 patch,i have lost motivation for payin skins and its a shame i already paid for full batle pass...

The patches are not 'actively opposing mods' so much as 'optimizing the game'.   Legit everything now in place was expected S0 as most UE games end up adding these features as devs grow.

 

They are preventing cheaters cheating first and foremost.  Our mods are collateral damage.  The lead dev went on social media to confirm Peni is 18, this says to me they legit do not care about NSFW mods that are client side only. 

 

Not once has any dev stated anything against NSFW visual or audio mods.  Specifically modifying the game for "an advantage" is all they talked about.

 

Have some faith in the crew.  It's possible we get mods again, it's possible we don't.  But there's no bad news yet.  The mods are already working on private servers, the method is just being tested.

I was planning to download some mods and get into the game, but with this new system breaking them, I’m not even gonna bother. This is definitely gonna hurt the game and make a lot of people stop playing, ’cause I keep seeing mods that catch my attention—something the default skins just don’t do.

Honestly, I'm all for them punishing the cheaters but the fact that our nude mods are the unintended side effect still bums me out.

I agree with you I already stopped playing it I'm tired of always re reinstalling the mods for every update screw this game

right, mods just that are visual is nice but does not make what the game fun, take skyrim it was fun be4 mods, and they open their arms to the modding world, there are game that hate their games not to be modded like nintendo games
