I haven't touched anything, but this is going on now: The eyes are see through and, for some models, the clothes are see through, too. I'm also not seeing the Siren or Triton character models in the previews. What have I done? What crime have I committed? Should I just completely get rid of EVERYTHING and start over from scratch? I'm beginning to wish there were just like...a starter pack of body, face, and armor mods to download so my only worry could be load order, but I can see how that'd be an issue. Install some standalone race Mods ( not MBP which conflicts with many other race mods ) Then activate only the race mod you want to play. NEVER Lovers and Tamago esm and esp in the Bashed Patch !!! Load order: Alternative Start by Robert Evrae.esp , Underwater.esp , DiabloEF 6 in 1.esp wrong. But it has absolutely nothing to do with your problems How to install Oblivion. It was fine in the past, which is why I was so confused. As for why I use all of the bodies and races and etc., back when I installed all of these mods (ten THOUSAND years ago), they were all given as "you have to have these in order for Hiyoko/Lovers to work". It wasn't super clear what was and wasn't absolutely necessary in order for things to work. Like, for Hiyoko, from what I recall, I was able to get a child that was like....a catboy? Because my human had a baby with a Khajit and it was NEAT. But it was a special race (i think?) Thank you for the load order info; I looked at that post (CLICK THE YELLOW LINK IN MY SIGNATURE is ingrained in my brain lol), but couldn't figure out where to put those mods.

Deleting the .ini made it so the game refused to open at all, which is....eaugh. I feel like I may have to just delete everything, install the game fresh, and try to figure out what things I need to install in the year 2024 instead of what was acceptable back in....2008? 2009? MAYBE 2011???

"In the past" meant "the last time I played the game", which was a few years ago. I haven't added a single mod since then, which is why this has thrown me off so much. Nothing has changed between the last time i played and now, so I'm baffled as to why things are throwing up gang signs. I WILL reorder my mods now, though, thank you!

When I looked in the game folder just now, there wasn't an oblivion.ini file! At all! Haha wow!!! How the fuck did that happen? applesnraisins Posted December 9, 2024 Author Posted December 9, 2024 (edited) Still having issues.... And this is after putting in the new .ini files. (Help him.) EDIT: I FIXED IT! Did a little extra googling and found out that the cause was "extra shaders" from a stupid mod I didn't even know I'd put in (and is notoriously difficult to take out). Fixed the issue, blessings be, I'm freed from the Invisible Curse. The mod in question is Oblivion Reloaded, in case anyone is curious. Ugh. Edited December 10, 2024 by applesnraisins 1
