Nifskope / Blender question about double side textures

Hello,

I'm going against the stream... I don't need to change a single side texture mesh in a double side, I need to do the contrary... Still, I can't get how to do it, since it's not the contrary of what I find written around.

To make a double sided texture, I've read you need to add a NiStencil and set DRAW_BOTH value. I also have read there's that button inside Blender, Double Side. Also, again, I remember there was a flag to set to a very high value, I don't remember where I've read about it. I think it's the flag inside NiStencil, set to around 19000...

Anyway.

My vanilla mesh has not a NiStencil node. If I add it, it shows DRAW_BOTH but it's gray, I can't change it.

I imported in Blender, the Double Side button isn't pressed. I re-exported, since I knew Blender couldn't place double side texture on its own and it was needing to add it by Nifskope. Still, in Nifskope I find the same exact situation, even in game, double side textures...

Also, I added the NiStencil and played a little with it, changing that flag value to 0 for example. What I see is the internal texture changing to completely black, but still in game I can see the texture.

So I'm wondering there's also another place where I can set it, and maybe it is "forcing" the NiStencil to be DRAW_BOTH and not allowing modifies. If this make sense.

Anyone has idea?

may be i do not understand       but each time in blender  i select the object  than i select 'edit mode' highlight the polygones and click on 'double side'  go back to 'object mod' select all and export to nif  and that makes the trick generaly.

or may be you need to 'flip normals' when   in  'edit mod'  and polygons highlighted

show pics to somewhat understand what you want to do.

In Nifskope when you add the stencil property it autmatically sets the flags value to 19840, you can change the flags value but the value just above it (draw_both) will not change. If you want it single sided then remove the stencil property all together.

If the mesh is actually constructed with 2 faces like a box then you cannot change that with the stencil property, you will have to remove the inside faces.

Otherwise as KingKong said need pictures and or mesh to see what you really mean.

I was meaning that even if the "Double Side" button wasn't checked in Blender and even if the Stencil Property was not attached to the node in Nifskope, I still had double side textures in game, while Nifskope itself wasn't showing it. So I was wondering if there was another parameter to set for it. But maybe it's just me being really confused by these things, I find such a pain to work with meshes, it's really one of these things that I can't learn properly

I would have to see the mesh, normally if they looked single sided in Nifskope they woudl look that way in game but only from certain angles, so it could be a game engine thing.
