RezTheFatal Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 I just started playing Oblivion so bear with me if this question seems stupid/obvious. But no matter what body mod I install I get the ugly, blocky meshes from the vanilla game and I would like to get a more slender mesh like in this screenshot. Clearly it's a body mesh issue but I'm at a loss on how to fix it.
vegaorc Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Maybe you're lacking the archive invalidation function in the Oblivion Mod Manager?
movomo Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 http://cs.elderscrolls.com/index.php?title=Oblivion_Mods_FAQ#BSA-redirection Go there and see if that helps. I'm either pretty sure it's the archive invalidation issue.
RezTheFatal Posted December 17, 2013 Author Posted December 17, 2013 Do i use archive invalidation via bsa redirection before I install any mods or can I toggle it on anytime? Ty for help btw
Dusk_ Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 BSA Redirection on basically makes the files in the Data subfolders take precedence over files in BSA folders. So turn on once and it should work for any amount of mod changes. Would not recommend the other forms of Archive Invalidation.
gregathit Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Exactly as Dusk_ said. All other forms of archive invalidation are problematic. Stick with bsa redirection.
