xiro8877 Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Ridiculously awesome progress so far 2pac4eva7. I'm curious though...I seen an armor set that I had seen created for Victoria 4 for Daz Studio. Did you have to re-rig that armor set or were you able to just import it into blender as an Obj then parent it to the Skyrim skeleton? I have a SHIT ton of badass armor for Daz Studio. Maybe I should start looking into porting them. which armor are you talking about? You're over your bandwidth so I can't point to the one you have and I can't remember which texture it has in Skyrim. However I have a feeling the second you follow this link you'll recognize the mesh... http://www.daz3d.com/i/shop/itemdetails/?item=5661 They have quite a number of textures for it. I think you had a black one applied on the one that you converted for Skyrim. Like I said...I have A SHIT ton of these armor sets. Not all would be lore friendly for Skyrim but a vast majority of the ones I felt were worth downloading were. And I have alot O.o
Silvist Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 I love poser/daz armor, I wish I could see a proper port one of these days. Btw anyone else recognize Exnems name in oblivion mods? Could have sworn they make poser/daz stuff lol. But going back to the armor sets...yeah there's a crap load of them. I was actually able to import oblivion/FO3/TW2 into daz/poser, and mess with it a bit. I'm sure the opposite could be done. I think the biggest pain in the arse part, which 2pac is doin wonderfully is the dam rigging. If it wasn't for rigging, I wouldn't just stick to textures lol.

And I have alot O.o i do recognize that mesh, but i didnt get it from that site. its what i used to replace archmage. i got it from anvilbay.ru, its "lady witch" by krista, originally for oblivion. i definitely wouldnt be paying to download any meshes though. i put up new screens all on the first page that arent over bandwidtth
xiro8877 Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Yea well the Daz team (and other 3d artists) make clothing meshes for the characters for Daz Studio. It's mainly used for renders. Just flashy, high poly count 3d models and stuff to make cool pictures. But there are SO many fantasy armor sets for both male and female that now I'm intrigued knowing that someone has successfully imported it and rigged it. I actually have the Earane mesh and about 9 different texture sets for it. It was just cool to see it thrown in Skyrim and Oblivion....and makes others come to my mind and thinking about how awesome they'd be in Skyrim >.>

Redking52 Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Dunno if you remember any of my stuff that I did for FO3 and FNV 2pac (I did a bunch of resizes and stuff that you included with your NV clothing mod that used to be on the nexus. I go by carrolj2 there), but I'm wondering if you can help me out. I'm trying to get caught up on converting some kick ass armor sets from Oblivion, but I'm having troubles. You wouldn't know of any good guides or tutorials would you? I used your video to learn the basics. I can edit stuff that's been added to skyrim already, just can't seem to get ports to work. Sorry if anybody else has already asked this question. 22 pages is too much reading for me at the moment. Nice looking mod so far btw.
Silvist Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 I almost fell over laughing from your response 2pac lol. Totally epic hahah.

tro1l Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Very nice work, but it's too bad you don't say what each picture is of. A few you can guess, but others not. What's the one at the bottom ?
Ryanhabs Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Dammit 2pac... I finally get settled in on a body mod I'm happy with and you start porting some of the armors I want to use! Although your BB variant isn't terribly far off from the TB02 body. sigh...

Ryanhabs Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 But wont it leave a gap between the body and the armor? I mean if its not that noticable then it wont bother me.
LibidoKnievel Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Armors look incredible, 2pac! Eagerly waiting along with everyone else for the release.
2pac4eva7 Posted January 12, 2012 Author Posted January 12, 2012 But wont it leave a gap between the body and the armor? I mean if its not that noticable then it wont bother me. no, the body mesh is built into the armor mesh. as long as you have tnt textures it will work fine. only difference is there will be a slight seam at the hands when you wear my armors
Ryanhabs Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 I'll install it as I get a slight seam wearing most armors now as it is, (well most ported armors that is.)
