Newbie has a couple of questions

Hello all,

 

You have done great work so far! Unfortunatly, all necassary information for modding my game is scattered on these pages and I don't know where to start. I'm going to ask you a couple of questions and would be glad if you pointed me to helpful threads or links. After modding the game, I will sum up your answers and my experiences and write a short general guide for the newbs to come.

 

My aim: Modding a good looking Skyrim, where I can live out various sexual fantasies, with as little tinkering as possible.

 

1. Which mods do you recommend to improve the looks of the characters (most important obviously) and/or the environment on standard computers/high-end machines?

Is it still up to date?

 

2. There seem to be many specialized "nude" mods for different body types. Is there no "general" mod for this purpose? I want different body types running around in skyrim.

 

3. How do I spawn characters ingame, interact with them, move them around etc. ?

 

4. The LoversLab guide seem to be out of date. Which pitfalls should I avoid when using it?

 

5. Many mods are buggy still and can break your game. Whats the most convient way of managing these nasty bugs without reinstalling Skyrim all over again all the time?

 

There will probably come more questions to my mind, but first I have to learn the ropes.

By the way, I always try to improve my English. Did anything of the stuff written above sound weird or plainly wrong? Thank you.

• 12 body mesh
• 36 skin textures

Skse is a must http://skse.silverlock.org many mods will need it especially the adult ones without it they will not work or cause problems. The Hairstyler  allows you to change NPCs Hairs, but you also need ApachiiSkyHair by Apachii

As fellow newbie, I must confront you that thinkering is inevitable, but there are many programs that reduce the tinkering by ALOT.

Take NMM for example, with it's function to extract, overwrite and backup the overwritten, it has made modding a whole lot easier. Compared to my previous experience with modding games, i find myself modding quicker, due to the fact that backups are less mandatory.

Also FNIS has made adding or altering animations a breeze.

So thank those guys.

As for a cluttered forum, bit of research can't hurt, google is your friend. And this site even has a search engine in it, awesome right?

Like I say "We take what is given" make the best of what you find.

That's the beauty of modding, the tinkering, or maybe it's just me, understanding how things work and that way making your modding easier, and exploring compatebilities.

 

As for the thread Beautifull women, it isn't a guide or anything, but more of a showcase of female models with the information of the components you need to make cette model. And maybe that invloves alot of tinkering or none.

If you really want to improve the look of your game, then retexture packs are the things that might interest you. Aswel as ENBs, which takes a bit work, but i havent fully researched that area yet.

And spawning charachter, depends which you want, vanilla is easy, lots of pages bout that, and custom npcs, wel i'm also still a newbie .

And as for gamebreakers, to avoid that be fully aware of what your doing and backing up files is always recommended.
