I had a read of those links you posted...

And sorry to say I just do not understand any of those links My PC knowledge is very limited and with a brain injury I just cannot work it out at all

so I will stick to what I know works

But thanks anyway it's appreciated

At least with AAF and the effing manual it's easy and straight forward

Scarlett did a fantastic job of laying the whole install out, in a simple way that even I can understand..

Your activity shows clear contradiction. In other threads, you give advanced technical advice (Windows 11 updates, MO2 vs Vortex, Cathedral Optimizer, F4SE DLL checks). Here, you perform as a helpless novice, quickly concluding AAF's manual is "easy and straightforward."

This pattern perfectly matches recurring attempts by some AAF community actors to create a false negative narrative around NAF.

This topic is for technical questions about NAFicator. Coordinated trolling and fake comparisons are not productive.

upd:

Your entire engagement in this thread follows an identical, unproductive pattern. Every message lacks even the slightest attempt at specificity — no error logs, no steps taken, no clear questions. This proves you are not seeking help, but aiming to plant a specific narrative.

In other discussions, you are notably specific and even offer technical advice to others. This stark contrast confirms your intent is not genuine inquiry.

Thanks for the reply's I do appreciate it...

Sorry for the late reply been a bit under the weather..

So can I just run this past you all

I currently have game 163 it's the GOG GOTY version and i run MO2 with The effing manual second form the bottom...

I take it I remove and replace AAF with NAF

Place NAF bridge under NAF

Put LLFP under NAF bridge

What do I do with Naficator that is the bit i am slightly confused with??

Many Thanks

You load naficator once (with the toggle to enable it in the ini, i think its enabled by default already) and it does something with all the animation files you have to make them work with naf without manually doing stuff, main menu when you load a game and then basically stop you from doing anything until its done, then you exit (alt-f4/task manager if you cant use the menu) then you disable it and load the game normally.

Im not sure where LLFP goes in the load order, 1 or 2 mods have their own copy of that as well which can break AAF/NAF since its a different version but if you had AAF working in the past NAF should just work with after the naficator has run once, at least it did for me (i do remember worrying about folders or something but that was a really early version as well).

My load order is AAF (not newest) (disabled), NAF, Bridge, Naficator (disabled)
I typically enable AAF and Naficator at the same time when using Naficator

Disable both when finished

@Franco Cozzo Thank you for your participation and attempts to help a newcomer, but in this case it is useless: because this is 100% a troll. His activity shows that he is not such a novice that he cannot formulate a question indicating a specific problem. Besides, this is already a classic pattern of behavior, you know who I mean — coming to my thread, leaving some general message devoid of specific technical details, making a loud statement. People who want to understand or get help don't behave like that.

upd:

Regarding the procedure you described: for the most part, it is correct, but there are a couple of comments:
1) Installation/connection of AAF is not necessary.
2) It doesn't matter where LLFP is in the order, as long as the correct version is loaded. Technically, it is not needed at all for NAF/NAF Bridge to work, but since it is included in AAF, it is often not specified as a requirement for third-party mods. The correct version of LLFP is included in the version of NAF that is distributed on LL. For those who downloaded from Nexus, you need to install the version that is relevant for OG (1.10.163.0.1) - this is specified in the instructions.

First of all I am not a troll nor do I appreciate being called something I am not,

I am 53 years old I served my whole life in the military thank you.. Never needed a pc for my job and up until a short while ago I was holding my own until I had an accident which I am still trying to recover from in the best manner that I can given the UK NHS is a complete mess...

I bought and built a pc with help from my friends when they get to visit so I was not sitting in the house bored senseless because I cannot work hence why I am trying my very best to learn about pc,s and the whole modding system especially fallout 4 as I enjoy the game....I have spoke to my mate who was going to take a look and hopefully teach me how to set up the whole NAF because I do not understand the guide very well...

But seeing as you are going down a route of calling me something I am certainly not then keep your horrible attitude...I come here on LL site because the majority seem to help better than nexus and a lot of people have helped me which I am deeply grateful for

I didn't mean to offend or hurt anyone personally, but I'll repeat the main point: to get effective help with technical issues, it's super important to describe the problem clearly and specifically—what steps you took, at what stage the problem happened, what error message pops up, what's written in the log, etc.

I noticed that in other threads, you often help less experienced users yourself and understand the details of how mods work. Against this background, your questions in this discussion seem unusually abstract, lacking the specifics and details that usually lead to a quick solution to the problem.

Didnt know AAF wasn't needed at all, thats neat for when I need to re-install one day.

Hey @Evi1Panda

There is a problem with some animation data not being properly naficated, specifically Erection morph data.

Here is an example of Leito's Reverse Carry position showing the original Leito_animationsData followed by the Naficated results. The <value path="morph" value="Erection Up" to="0.x"/> line is omitted in the Naficator version. Have seen this problem with a couple of the other animation packs as well.

Spoiler

Is the problem with the original XML or Naficator?   I can't find "<value path="morph" value= ..." anywhere in the NAF XML Authoring Guide, so how should those lines be changed to be included by Naficator?

@dosfox you dont need to correct manually since we have AI. I will look tomorrow and answer.

upd: but if you need a quick solution - see how erection implemented for other animation. I guess it is action, bu I can be wrong withot seeing code.

@Evi1Panda

Thanks for reply. Just worked it out, did global replace of <value path="morph" value= ...  with <morph id= ... in original files.

EDIT: Renaficated, tested, all working OK.

Nice. I will update this in NAFicator.

@Evi1Panda  Sorry about delay, got caught up in trying to understand Indarello's peculiar fileset - it's crazy, but somehow it does "just work".

New DLL does not work:  newdll_NAFicator.log

Replaced new dll with v0.9.71 dll and reNAFicated:  v0.9.71_log.txt  ... successful.

BTW the new log looks very pretty - much easier to scan to find errors.

With this latest version you posted on Nexus the logs look good after I started the game and exited. I left the .ini alone this time and only made sure that it was enabled. In a previous version I had set the folder location to a specific place but Naficator didn't seem to like that. Not sure where the files went. Thanks for your continuous work on this.

If you are using MO2 the files are in Overwrite/NAF.

I am having trouble with NAFicator  not moving past "NAFicator finished xmls processing! Prepare to parse..."log.txtNAFicator.log

Can you send log (there will be only one) from the last version? I guess we should see there where is the trouble.

Also would using GE-Proton10-28 effect any thing with your mod?

Sorry, I'm not familiar with this subject. I can say that I used platform-dependent stuff like Windows API.

Does F4SE works fine on linux? Is there working downgrade to 1.10.163?

I'm afraid there are far more problems than just this mod. I could consider options for decoupling from the platform, but I'm afraid there is much more problems far more than just this mod.

Is their a way to manualy feed the data/aaf files in to your program to convert them?

Of course there is, xml guide.

Is the NAFicator only your trouble on linux?

Does NAF/Bridge works fine for you? Did you test it?

Did the files actually get saved? (if you used MO2 they should be in the overwrite/NAF) since the log says they were for a few but it may be wrong.

I don't use *nix as a daily driver but you may have a permissions error/it may be sandboxed so it cant write new files when the game is running. Of course this is only assuming the files didn't get saved/written to the drive. If they did then my best guess is done but I'd assume at least the ones that did get processed would work (might be wrong with that too though haha).
