I’ve seen a lot of information being shared around, with some details being accurate and others less so, so I wanted to give a brief summary of what happened.

The server was suddenly removed by Discord for copyright infringement, without any prior warning or notice from them.

Is everything permanently lost? I honestly don’t know yet. There are procedures available to appeal this decision, and I intend to follow them. In my opinion, there are several points that deserve to be reviewed, especially regarding the copyright claims involved, since the assets in question belong to their respective owners and not to the mod creators themselves.

We will now wait for Discord’s response and hope they can understand that removing a server with more than 37,000 members instantly, after two years of existence, is an extremely serious decision with a huge impact on the community.

Beyond that, I want to thank all of you. For two years, The "Safe" Zone was a place built by and for the community. I truly hope those two years gave you good memories, whether through discussions, mods, sharing content, or simply the time you spent here with everyone.

We may have lost our “home,” but we can still say that we fully enjoyed the journey, and I have no regrets about what we built together.

If Discord decides to stand by their decision despite the appeal process, I will take some time to think about what comes next. It could be the end of this adventure, or maybe the beginning of something new somewhere else (even though that possibility remains very unlikely for now).

For now, everything depends on how Discord handles the situation and how long their responses take.

Crying shame that it got taken down. I hope that it comes back (if it does, please let us know so we can rejoin if we have to). Im a bit sus of how fast it got taken down though, I cant even lie. Ive seen how fast bots can take servers down, so if it was a bot attack I feel like Discord would probably reverse the decision, but if it was because of copyright you could always tell discord that you wont post THAT persons mods if they reply back to you (though thatd probably lead to everyone asking their mods to be removed if they cared enough, so lets hope its not that). My only other idea is that you could try to make a thread in loverslab, but it definitely wouldnt be as easy to operate/neat as a Discord server is

Try this one, it's called "Furina's Basement". they have mod for Genshin, WuWa, Endfield and HSR too. Not as much in variety, since the admin of server only came back recently due to the safe zone being nuked, but it is something for the time being.

people can't copyright mods to begin with
if that was the case, for example
I could just freely take the Playstation Logo and intro and mod it a little and copyright sony for using it lol
but it doesn't work that way, the characters and likeness of those characters belong to mihoyo 
if the modders wanna claim anything then design their own clothes and keep it off the characters, otherwise they have no say

The server Ecthelion got ownership of they did have beef with him before which is why the safe zone was made to get away from it. Wouldn't surprise me if Ecthelion himself got the server DMCA striked just to have ppl flock back to his server so he can power trip again like he did before when he wanted to nuke lurkers who were just there for the mods like aint no one trying to talk 24/7 we just want the mods lol. It just really coinvent it all of a sudden got hit with one over night and since he wanted to nuke lurkers anyway this convenient DMCA gave him a reason to do so probably made up the whole psyop and planned it out

As I remember, some 2 or 3 years ago, Hoyo gave a mod maker a warning for selling mods; that led to the current 30 days early access system or donation only. I guess some mod makers either forgot that or are new in the community, as I see a lot of mods are now locked behind paywalls again.

I'm not doing anything to put the server at risk, but I'm not risking my UID getting leaked on a screenshot with mods either. You can do whatever you want.

 

I did it once for one of 3 main ZZZ mod Discords (either SZ or AGMG or ZZZ Mod Community), but I don't even remember they asked for the in-game UID, just the picture of a modded game and the Discord in the background; no UID was required. Even so, it was pretty uncomfortable to give them that much information. It would be way safer to wait for the situation to die down than provide UID in the current chaotic mess. Everyone is on edge; the server goes into full witch hunt mode. Mistakes can happen.
