I understand where they're coming from, but fuck that. I've been modding lots of gachas with no bans, but I've also never shared my UIDs anywhere. Not with modded stuff on them anyway. I don't trust anything on the internet to not get leaked.

 

Guess I'm getting banned. I can find alternatives to that server, but not to my account.

they're asking for it in a private thread that no one but owner/maybe admin would see, not the whole damn server. It's safety precautions unless you wanna risk that server going too

Don't get your panties in a twist. I never said they asked for it to be made public, just that I don't trust anything on the internet to not get leaked. I don't let Discord scan my ID or my face either.

I'm not doing anything to put the server at risk, but I'm not risking my UID getting leaked on a screenshot with mods either. You can do whatever you want.

HoYoverse bans mods and unauthorized fan creations, but is usually tolerant toward non-commercial works. Once commercialization is involved, they strictly crack down. For example, in June 2026, “多摩萬事屋”was fined 2.98 million RMB for large-scale unauthorized merchandise sales. Mod makers often rely on {donations} instead of {direct sales} to avoid risk. Because enforcement is rare, many modders treat it as permission and even sell mods. Most mods are reworked assets from HoYoverse or other sources, with little originality. Some modders even mistakenly believe {they already own the copyright of their mods}. HoYoverse’s stance can be summarized as: respecting fan creations but showing zero tolerance toward infringement; lenient with non-commercial works, strict against commercialization. Mod makers also try to avoid directly crossing the line. 😥😥😥

Same, downright ridiculus to think anybody with a singular braincell wild give basicaly a blackmail to a bunch of discord mods

The server was suddenly removed by Discord for copyright infringement, without any prior warning or notice from them.

Is everything permanently lost? I honestly don’t know yet. There are procedures available to appeal this decision, and I intend to follow them. In my opinion, there are several points that deserve to be reviewed, especially regarding the copyright claims involved, since the assets in question belong to their respective owners and not to the mod creators themselves.

We will now wait for Discord’s response and hope they can understand that removing a server with more than 37,000 members instantly, after two years of existence, is an extremely serious decision with a huge impact on the community.

Beyond that, I want to thank all of you. For two years, The "Safe" Zone was a place built by and for the community. I truly hope those two years gave you good memories, whether through discussions, mods, sharing content, or simply the time you spent here with everyone.

We may have lost our “home,” but we can still say that we fully enjoyed the journey, and I have no regrets about what we built together.

If Discord decides to stand by their decision despite the appeal process, I will take some time to think about what comes next. It could be the end of this adventure, or maybe the beginning of something new somewhere else (even though that possibility remains very unlikely for now).

For now, everything depends on how Discord handles the situation and how long their responses take.

Crying shame that it got taken down. I hope that it comes back (if it does, please let us know so we can rejoin if we have to). Im a bit sus of how fast it got taken down though, I cant even lie. Ive seen how fast bots can take servers down, so if it was a bot attack I feel like Discord would probably reverse the decision, but if it was because of copyright you could always tell discord that you wont post THAT persons mods if they reply back to you (though thatd probably lead to everyone asking their mods to be removed if they cared enough, so lets hope its not that). My only other idea is that you could try to make a thread in loverslab, but it definitely wouldnt be as easy to operate/neat as a Discord server is
