Did you save both maps as BC7 Linear DX11+? Whenever I do that, the entire skin is just dark.

i did sRGB, i only do Linear when sRGB does some weird stuff

This is very common issue of the color you have used to cover the skin area. Try different yellow or purple to see the effect.(usually light purple which nearly pink as example) The way to solve is to try more edits.
