lurk525 Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 So, I've always had quite a few mods. Not as much as some of the intense mod lists out there, but enough. Recently I installed the sexlab mods, and included the mods for creature animations. Now all wolves and foxes in skyrim are frozen in place. They won't run, won't attack, won't move. I've rebuilt FNIS over and over, and tried re-installing mods. I imagine it's a conflict, but none of the logs give me a clue. Here is my mod list. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks, guys and gals. (The ones at the bottom marked CUSTOM are mods I'm currently working on. No animation changes are involved in them). I've attached the file I made.
shane4244 Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Copy/Paste your full FNIS report and in case nothing is obvious there post your papryus log too in a spoiler or as an attachment you can find instructions for doing that in the SexLab Support & Troubleshooting Guide under the sexlab trouble shooting instructions.
Pinute Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 I ran into this issue tonight. FNIS 4.1, no fox or wolf movement at all. No errors in the logs, other than the 'harmless' one. Run FNIS 4.0.2 everything is fine. Frustrating! Verified Steam cache, disabled animation mods, foxes still are statues. Tried a rational troubleshooting process and nothing worked. So I'm writing a bug report for fnis on nexus and realized there was one last thing I hadn't tried. I reinstalled 4.1. Everything started working. Thankfully I did that before I finished the report

Did you simply move the skyrim folder over to the new drive or did you reinstall skyrim with steam to the drive then move your skyrim folder over the new install? FNIS should be able to tell where your skyrim install is as most people including myself use a different drive than C:/ . Yes I would think that if FNIS and probably skse thinks skyrim is somewhere else it would cause problems if your adding mods to a different directory. Edit: If you just moved the skyrim folder over steam is still going to lauch from C:/ Edit2: The only proper way I know to install the game on another drive is to move your skyrim folder somewhere else, then uninstall through steam, then reinstall telling steam the directrory you wish to install it and once its installed overwrite it with your skyrim folder from the previous install. There may be other ways you will have to google that but simply moving the folder will not work. Or I maybe telling you this for no reason if you did it right to begin with I don't know because you immediatly logged out after making your post

And if this is the cause of the issues, wouldn't I have problems with other mods as well? It looks to me like the rest of Sexlab and whatnot all work perfectly fine. I'm going to try to uninstall and re-install FNIS and see how that fairs. Update: Yep, that did it. Simple uninstall-update of FNIS got the wolves a-howlin' again. Thanks guys!

Let me know never tried it like that but you wouldn't neccessarlily have issues with other mods if a steam install of skyrim still exist in C:/ as the FNIS report seems to show. It would kind of be hit and miss depending on the changes made in your new install. I could be wrong just can't think of another reason FNIS would be reading from C:/
WhiskeyS Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 Related thread hijacking: So, ive been toying around with the creature functionality since FNIS creature functionality was still in beta, when you still had to overwrite the wolf_blahblah_behaviours to get them to work. Ive been keeping up with the updates, and just recently the wolves have failed to animate (during sex only), and just stand still. I've ran FNIS (multiple times) and dogs seem to work perfectly fine. I even cleared out all the (seemingly) obsolete files inside actors/canine/wolf behaviours and did a fresh install of FNIS, and creatures. Are there some obsolete scripts that are still haunting my game? Or am I just dense? Haaaaalp
hisstoryman Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Having the same problem and have spent most of the day testing each of my mods, because initially it was CTDing. I caught one error message about the Fox not being compatible. It flashed and disapeared real fast so I did not get to read the whole thing. I have narrowed it down to Lover's Comfort, Aroused, Romance, or Animated Prostitution (The most current verison of each). Will report back. UPDATE: In my case it was Animated Prostitution 5.1 Hope this helps others.
