shymasogurl Posted September 8, 2024 Posted September 8, 2024 Hiya, just wondering if anyone knows which mod has the robotic voice for my pc, says things like "come fuck my pussy" and "oh so ,much dirty cum" or something like that? I have no idea which mod it is, i disabled or uninstalled most of the vocal mods i had used, but it's still there. It's not the end of the world but I guess I prefer moaning, sobbing, screaming etc without much dirty talk, especially robot talk. I'm not sure if I installed it incorrectly or something, anyways, figured I'd ask, maybe I have to start a new game for it to disappear? Thanks, and if not well thx anyhow and bonne journee a tout le monde, bisous xx\
anjenthedog Posted September 8, 2024 Posted September 8, 2024 My *guess* is that SL is randomly assigning one of the additional voice offered by any voice mods you've added. Change the voice to change "language" (if any) of the participant. Voice changes can be made in SL's voice/FX submenu

When? When discovering caves? Finding treasure? Greeting NPCs? Getting boinked by Mikael behind the Bannered Mare? I'm going to assume you mean during SL scenes, in which case the reasonable first thing to do is inspect the SL Extra Voices mods no? The voices in there are wav files. Grab your favorite media player, instruct it to play all files in the Extra Voices directories and you'll eventually find your robot voice. Edit: When you find it, untick the voice in SL's MCM and no one will use it. Edited September 8, 2024 by traison

I did untick all the voices, except for # 13 (submissive add on) but even with all the female slots unticked it still happens, and I tried even the 13 unpicked as well, but it still happens. I'll go look in the extra voices folder anyhow, maybe it will give me an idea,

If not maybe I can replace the vocal oneshots in the SL extravoices folder. Thx!
anjenthedog Posted September 9, 2024 Posted September 9, 2024 (edited) Ok I'll try again, by "language" I mean the tone of the voice. And... By tone of the voice, I am not referring to how it sounds on a note pitch scale (ie the key of a piano) What I mean is the way the voice sounds, the words that the voice uses or doesn't. Some voices have no spoken words (the "if any" clause of my previous post), some do (like the voices that include literal words in their utterances as noted in your opening comment). Presuming those voices are in the SL voice selections set, rather than being dynamically injected by some other mod (idk , select a different NPC voice using the SL submenu for that purpose, to one that doesn't use the phrases "come fuck my pussy" and "oh so ,much dirty cum" (or alternatively, if that's the player voice, select a different player voice) to be clear, I am NOT talking about English vs German vs Chinese vs Swahili. shymasogurl Posted September 9, 2024 Author Posted September 9, 2024 Thx for clarifying, I was wondering about that. It's really just those few phrases, the rest, such as moaning and whimpering like when she get's smacked around for example is working fine, even the submissive female voice add on (slot #13) works fine. It's just often when sex scenes PC will say for example "come fuck my pussy" or "so much dirty cum" , something like that, the pitch is too high, robotic, and too fast, reminds me of playing with vocal samples in a daw, when you shorten it, it ends up sounding like robotic chipmunks. I was actually wondering if I could take the vocal samples from skyrim folder and load em up in my daw so I can try to fix them, play with the pitch and length and mix (EQ) them ? Only for the voices that are problematic.
anjenthedog Posted September 9, 2024 Posted September 9, 2024 (edited) well, I guess you could delete or possibly swap out the offending lines, if you can figure out which files they are. if the samples are in wav form (or another accessible format) yes, you should be able to edit them, but if xwm, idk....not sure how to deal with direct xwm file edits. /Data/sound/Voice/ or (possibly including /Data/sound/FX/) is where you'll find most or all of them. otherwise you'll have to dig around if the mod that provided them holds them in its own folders. shymasogurl Posted September 9, 2024 Author Posted September 9, 2024 I looked for them everywhere until I remember vortex has that open file location, stupid me jaja. I went and looked quickly and they're in wav. but there's a lot of them so I'll have to wait until my eyes and ears are rested before . I was thinking I'd try to fix them to my liking rather than or at least try before deleting/swapping them. It should be a fun lil project, if I stretch out the samples and play with the frequencies in the EQ and maybe add some fx, idk I'm not used to making vocals that aren't for techno/minml etc so usually it's lots of reverb, filters, some delay stuff like that. I think this will be quite different but it should a cool opportunity to learn some new stuff and it being for kinky modded skyrim makes it even cooler! Btw I love this site, the people on it (very helpful) and the game, it's really helped me when I was going through a rough patch lately . As soon as my financial situation is stabilized I want to make some donations to the modders and/or this site, bc I know it must be a lot of work, kinda like making music I imagine. Did you know for every 20 seconds of music heard there's at least 20+ minutes of work that goes into it. So ya, definitely appreciate all the hard work from the mod producers (authors) and the mod dj's (mod users) Merci bcp!!! ☺️😘
anjenthedog Posted September 9, 2024 Posted September 9, 2024 Yeah, at least they're in wav format, so reviewing them is as easy as dropping the load onto Winamp et al. and checking each one til you find the culprits. After that use whichever sound editing software you prefer to modify them, and tghen save in the format their player expects (since wav > wav). Me, I'd be inclined to simply delete them (the annoying ones) and overwrite with one of the other less annoying ones. The phrases spoken (via SL or Defeat) are afaik selected by use of a random number generator script fragment anyway, so it's not like they're bound to specific responses that would result in ctd or reference missing error. It just plays "random wav from this list of wav file" Anyway, have fun.
shymasogurl Posted September 9, 2024 Author Posted September 9, 2024 You probably right, it's better to simply delete them but I figured I'd try to make some vocals more human for a change. Plus maybe I can make a track with the vocals. I think it's really only like two or three phrases that annoy me, but ya i more a fan of gagged and sobbing without too many words besides no please don't no please let me go, owie you're hurting me Male: "Shut up you dirty useless cunt, nobody can hear your screams, there is no escape stupid worthless whore," My (PC's) interior voice : " Wowie this is like a dream come true, yay it's the best day of my life, or it will be as soon as I'm collared and caned unti I'm a bloody sobbing mess then passed around until my new Master and co. piss on and in me, happy happy painslut, ....better pretend I don't like this though...." "No no please no, ahhhhh ahhhh oww it hurts"
JobiWanUK Posted September 9, 2024 Posted September 9, 2024 Bear in mind if you simply delete voice files that are used in a scene, it may break the scene. Better to put something else there and just name it the same, IE replace the original file.

Once my eyes/ ears have rested I'm gonna try to either modify them , or replace them either with my own voice, or by extracting and converting vocals from some porn I guess or something like that. I'm actually curious what needs to be done to make vocals samples sound more human. Found these just now https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYI1OMNk2o0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCi-493wUFc
JobiWanUK Posted September 9, 2024 Posted September 9, 2024 (edited) I'm not sure which mods you're referring to but if they're more than a few years old, they're probably using xVASynth which is pretty much outdated now. If you use FlowerGirls I have a mod on Nexus that replaces the voices with generic oohs and aahs, they're all open source so you can always use some of those if you like. ElevenLabs is probably the best ATM for generating voices (doesn't do singing - yet), but you need a paid account to use cloned voices. Might be able to help you out with that if you want to try it. shymasogurl Posted September 9, 2024 Author Posted September 9, 2024 I'm not sure either, downloaded a bunch of sound and voice fx mods and also the vocal mods for other mods, including DVBO, i ended up unistalling most . Ya I do recall some of the mods were pretty old, but they were in the compatibility tracking post so.. . I wanted one that;s even older though , Brutal sex SFX extreme, it;s from 2015, also in the tracking section. I saw/heard some previews for 11labs, it sounded great, but i was kind of weary of all voice mods since they never seem to sound quite same as when I heard them, thought maybe it was just a me problem. Awh, I really appreciate you offering to help, thank you, but don't worry about, it's just those 3 or so phrases that I need to fix , the rest seems to work fine
anjenthedog Posted September 9, 2024 Posted September 9, 2024 (edited) xVASynth, and careful adjustment of the intonation controls for *that specific phrase. The problem with (?almost?) all TTS "out of the box" is how mechanical the results often are without user massaging of the text and/or any included TTS application controls. Subtle intonation differences can make a big difference in how a given sentence/phrase comes across, (not to mention TTS often mis-enunciates words). and just to complicate matters, any two voice types (think Nord vs Khajit vs Imperial) may intone those words differently "apriori", so you have to adjust them for each speaker independently Unless you literally meant "robotic" as in distorted by a stuttering or "electronic" tone, which would probably mean resampling the sentence. When I ask one Khajit for training in lockpicking, she responds with a literally "robotic" voice. Something broken in the sample warning me that "it's my problem if I get caught" or something like that. It's *almost unintelligible Edited September 9, 2024 by anjenthedog

True. they're often indexed (somename1, somename2, somename3...) and called via [ ResponseName + Random(1..N) ] << slacker pseudocode. So just replace the offending response(s) with one of the others in the voice response list and name it with the missing index. done and done. no biggie. Edited September 9, 2024 by anjenthedog
