Wolf Furry Mod for BG3 (Luparian Race) - HELP NEEDED!!!!

I've been working on this project for a while now—it started as a small personal project (Still is)! but it's gained a lot of interest, and many people are asking me to turn it into a full race. The thing is, I'm just one person and not super experienced in making mods.
 

I'm currently stuck on creating fur for the model. I've tried several methods, like using a particle system in Blender and replacing it with an object, but I haven't quite nailed it yet.

The female model is almost finished, and once I get the fur working, I'll be able to move on to the male model.

(Note: I do not plan to make the legs digi since it would be alot of trouble for clipping, for now I made the under foot more puffy and the finger pads  puffy to simulate "paws" but I will not add paw pads or paws. Sorry)

You could try reaching out to CobaltOwl, they've got fur working for their Tabaxi race

I actually have! They have offered some good ways to go around it but thing is I don't own Zbrush- But they did say normal mapping can do work as a charm.

I uploaded my knot model on this site, so it can be used in this mod. Maybe it will motivate more people for help

Oh my ... !! It's SO AMAZING!!! 😱

I want SO BADLY to see a wolf race in Baldur's Gate 3!!! 😮

 

To be honest, I am very incompetent with Blender, but I am fascinated by the addon one can find for it...

 

I mean...3D Hair Brush here below seem amazing, but it is kind of pricey... 🤨

Emmh...I am suggesting just in the case you didn't knew this free addon (after all there are loads of them out there, but most aren't free! 🙄)...please KateDoggo do the miracle and give us wolf people!! I am really looking forward playing it!! 🤗🤗🤗

Also I wanted to share with you something I have come across on Internet:

 

By pure chance I came across a website called Meshy which allows to generate 3D model from text or from images. Now...it doesn't always make a great job (i.e., most swords I have tried to make were horrible), but seems to do a decent job with humanoid figure and give you 200 free credits monthly (which is more or less ) 8 remixes from text to model or 10 image to model per month (unfortunately downloading require a paid subscription=...but some text-to-image made by others look great and some text-to-image remixes I have tried myself were very nice!

 

However...I am really clueless about Blender and 3D modelling, so these 3D models for me could only end up being maybe 3D prints! 😭

 

However I am sharing them with you in hope you could somehow benefit from them (and I can benefit even more from your benefit):

( Actually I had created and downloaded them because I was hoping to shrinkwrap or data transfer these heads into the Dragonborn heads or something similar, but for me would be a very very difficult thing to do...frankly...I feel I have more hope with human head models...assuming I have hope at all to pull it!! So...I really really hope you might find these useful! )

 

 

* = I know Gnolls models are already in-game, but look how pretty this model looks! Could make a great dog-headed humanoid too...maybe like a pitbull!!

** = Note that in Meshy these are freely downloadable for the person who made them, but would require a paid subscription to download if one has not created them.
