Leito's Skyrim Strapons for SSE (3BA)

TLDR: A conversion of Leito86's Skyrim Strapons mod for SSE using the 3BA (v2) body. Does not include SMP support (I don't know how). This is only a conversion. I didn't make anything new. All credit goes to Leito86 for his/her/its awesome mod.

This is my first attempt at a conversion mod (or any mod), so I probably messed some things up. I did this for myself, and I thought I'd share it in case others wanted to use it, too. Leito's original mod did not have a regular download page, and is a bit hard to find, so I thought I'd rectify that here. You can find the original at Leito's Skyrim Strapons.

 

I'm relying on the permissions given on that page:

What I did:

1) Used CAO to optimize the meshes and textures for SE/AE

2) Opened in Creation Kit to convert to form 44

3) Attempted (and failed) to compact the Form ID's and flag as ESL to make a ESPFE. Doing this apparently prevents SL from recognizing the strapons. I cannot figure out why. Aborted attempt.

4) Imported the size 0 nifs into Outfit Studio and created new project.

5) Imported 3BA reference body and copied bone weights to the meshes.

6) Adjusted bone weights for spine and pelvis (because the automatic process didn't extend far enough).

7) Masked the dildo portions of the strapons (to prevent unsightly distortions) and conformed all sliders to the 3BA reference body.

8 ) Corrected partitions, so the meshes would show up in game. For some reason, it switched them all to 32 body instead 51 decapitated (needed by SL and the ESP).

9) Saved the project, opened bodyslide, and built the meshes for curvy preset 3BA body.

10) Tested in game (seems to work).

 

I did not attempt to add SMP physics (My computer isn't strong enough to run it anyway, and I have no idea how to do it).

I'm not offering any official support because I don't really know what I'm doing.

If I missed any steps, please let me know so I can improve.

Note: To get SL to automatically use the new strapons, you can either build one at the forge and equip it, or you can go into Sexlab's rebuild section and tell it to rebuild strapon list (should be at the bottom of the page). Then you can remove any of the strapons that you don't like.

Good afternoon. Everything's working fine. Except for 1 model. The horse strapon is not displayed. Neither through SexLab, nor when just equipping. The others are fine.

Well... for some reason this mod is not working for me.
I've installed many mods but the strapons of this mod doesnt't show up in my game.
Everything is activated. I placed it at the end of my mod list (MO2) - nothing. I can not craft these items and I don't find them via console or dildo search in Sexlab.

I'm playing AE, 1.6.353

Thank you for catching this. I'm sorry it took me so long to notice. I have uploaded a corrected version that I think will solve the issue.

 

The bodyslide project and .nif files had been incorrectly given the 32_Body partition instead of 51_Decapitation. Skyrim hates that kind of mismatch, so it didn't even show up in the lists in game. This should fix it.

I'm not sure why it isn't working for you (aside from the above error that I just fixed). I can say that it works for me on AE 1.6.1170, but I don't think the differences between the versions would cause a problem here.

 

Did you by any chance try to flag the mod for esl?

I tried to compact it myself (should be possible because the number of records is small and they're only armor), but it broke the mod. I did not create the original, and I don't know enough to understand why we can't do that.

As a test, I removed and reinstalled it in my test game, and it worked fine. I'm not sure why it isn't working for you folks.

 

Question: Do the recipes show up at the forge (as a type of armor)?

 

Note: They should show up as a slot 51_Decapitated (which, by the way, is the same slot that SoS uses for males). If you have any mods that mess with that slot, they might conflict.

 

Also, please be aware that if you try to compact the mod and flag it for esl, it will break it. I have no idea why.

I also think it has nothing to do with the different versions but I just wanted to mention it.

Hmm, you think we reached our plugin limit but in my case that is not the problem.

Interesting, that other users have the same problem like me.
Can you tell me which Skyrim version you play?

Damn, I want these strapons in my AE for such a long time. Now there is a conversion and it doesn't work for me. 😪

There is nothing to see in the forge. I checked it 3 times in every category.
I also tried to search the strapons with the help command in the console. Nothing.

Yes I  run SoS Full but in my LE there was no problems with these strapons + SoS.

I didn't try to make it as esl.

I hope to see a fix in the near future.

I don't think SoS would mess up the mod unless you were using an addon to apply it to a female character. It doesn't sound like that's what's happening.

 

You didn't try to compact the formID's (the first step in turning an esp into an espfe), so that isn't the answer.

 

Honestly, the facts that A) Sexlab doesn't see it, B) you don't have any crafting recipes for it in the forge, and C) you can't find anything with console commands all suggest that your game isn't reading the plugin at all. When I accidentally broke the mod by compacting it, the crafting stuff still worked, it just didn't actually spawn an object in the game. 

 

I wish I could help you, but I have no idea what's wrong. I'm afraid this problem is beyond my meager modding knowledge.

 

P.S. All of the item names have a space between strap and on, so the console command you would want would be:

help "strap on" 4

which should result in a list of 8 armor records, one for each of the available strap ons.

Sorry. No I doesn't converted your mod as esl. When I realized that it's not working for me I tried do load this mod in my CK but nothing happens. I didn't get an error message either. Very strange.

Thank you for letting me know. I was beginning to think I was doing something wrong when I uploaded the mod. If it only works for me, then the problem is probably on my end, but if it works for someone else, then I at least know that the uploaded version is correct.

For some reason the strapons are equipped for the first scene of the animation and when I advance the scene the strapons disappear. I have them set to not be stripped for all animations but they still disappear, I even set them to never remove in the strip item editor. If I move the animation back to the first scene they reappear and when I advance the scene again they once again disappear.

You do not need the original mod for this, and I think they could conflict (they use the same FormIDs).

I have no idea what's going on with that. It has never happened in any of my test games. I think it sounds like something going on with Sexlab. Could another mod is interfering with it? There are some mods (such as SCOE, I think) that change Sexlab script files. This one does not. It only adds the strapon meshes, textures, and the recipes for creating them in game. You do need to tell sexlab to rebuild its strapon list, or it won't recognize them, but it sounds like you probably already did that.

Yes I rebuilt the list and added them correctly. I did recently install sexlab utility which I suspect is the cause, not sure how to fix it tho.

I have noticed if anything is remotely related to SOS it does not convert to ESL and work properly, Not sure way this is the case

Ok good to know and I wonder how bad it will mess my game up if I change from the original to your mod. Oh do they both use the same ESP name?

I think it is this mod, all the added strap-ons do not show up on my chara,  the only working strap-on (eg visible), is the calyps. I wanted to use one of the strap-ons to punish a slave. But the equine one didn't show up, nor did the canine or the black soulgem, none of them.
