Getting this message when I open the game up. I installed it from here unpacked with winrar and opened the exe file. the ini file just opens in notes, and idk what the heck that's supposed to do. I checked the properties of the file, and can't seem to figure out what it is I need to do from there, and see nothing indicating any sort of script. No options for that. Never had this happen before with any game or software. There was one game that I got that wouldn't start up but they specified on their site that you need the rpgxp rtp installed. I did that and it worked properly. Do I need an RTP for this game? And if so, which one (besides RPG Maker XP as I already have it installed)? Or is there some other software I need? Otherwise, how do I proceed from here? What does it mean in this specific error message? Seems like no one else is having this issue and is able to get it working. I must be the first to be experiencing this. Most likely at least, but it's possible others have and just never said anything. Please get back to me... Well, I look forward to your response.(: I've had the game downloaded for a while, just haven't been able to make the time to play it. Decided to try it out today. Had that issue, came here, downloaded to the new version, same issue. HELP. lmaooo

Well I tried three different versions of this, nothing works.  Not the main one, not the unencrypted one.... Not that I'm surprised. And I don't expect any help to come my way. Probably just a cold-shouldered "It's just a you problem, tough shit" /: This royally fucking sucks, because the game looked great genuinely. Skimmed through this entire thread, and it's like I'm missing out on all the fun. Man......

 

And I don't know what's causing it. I'm on a high specs gaming computer fully up to date running the latest windows, all my drivers are good, plenty of space and everything. So I have literally no idea. This blows

 

I hope everyone else has enough fun playing this for me, since I can't.

I'm very sorry, but I'm not quite sure how to solve it either. Maybe you could create a new game.ini and replace the original file?Here is the content of this file.

I would love to help, but yea, you are the first to report this problem and i never seen it before.

Since the error is about scripts, check if you have the Scripts.rxdata in the Data folder, maybe antivirus is deleting it or something.

The versions that's up for download right now IS the complete release, as for playing it on mobile, use Joiplay with the RPGMaker Plugin, the most up to date versions you can download off the patreon for joiplay should work.

It won't work lol. Something about NameError and version. I think the error happened when it asked me for the version, so I put 1.0 because idk what version  it is, nor do I know where to find the version because I looked everywhere in my files and I can't find it. Sorry if it's obvious, I have no idea what I'm doing.

This error might occur because the version of joiplay is not up-to-date. The version of joiplay I'm using is 1.20.550, and the version of RPG Maker is 1.21.10. However, I didn't fill in the version required in joiplay but skipped it directly.

I encountered the same error when using the old version of joiplay, but after updating to the new version, I could play normally.

This is definitely one of the most enjoyable games I've ever played. I'm currently playing through it for the second time, but I've encountered some issues. If I want to obtain both evolved and un-evolved May at the same time, is there a way to achieve this effect?

I have figured out that joiplay doesn't like Google phones, so that's unfortunate, unable to play Mobile unless I can fix that

Finally played through the entire game, and I have to say I love the world you built and am eagerly awaiting the next installment. 

 

My favorite part is the women in towns and their little dialogue. I love when they refer to themselves as Pokemon, and some of the struggles or oddities that come with it. A particularly cute scene was in Celadon where the woman couldn't stay in the hotel with her family, because she was a pokemon. Hope to see more of these "slice of life" elements.

I beat the first two gyms without needing to use any items. I did fight Gary before the second gym. I had to raise some new mons to challenge the gym, since all the ones I had on me were weak to Water. But I didn't grind out a ton of levels or anything. I think I was like lv16-17 and only had one go down.

 

It is going to be naturally harder than vanilla if you only added extra Pokemon to fights, though. It doesn't take a genius to know that beating 2 Pokemon is easier than beating 3.

 

The starters also feel kinda weak. I assume because most of the wild human Pokemon don't have evolution's, while the starters do? I picked May as my starter and put her on the bench for now. I didn't really bother building Leaf or Lyra yet either. I imagine the starters are usually seen as the biggest hitters for most people's playthrough's, so them being weaker might be making it seem harder than it really is? I dunno. Like I said, I don't really play a lot of these games.

 

25 and whitny is 24 most evos minus the gym leaders [who probably evolve in there 30's], villans [like lucimine]. stone evolutions [like peach or rocket grunt] and ralts [who also evolves in her 30's] evolve in there mid 20's.

 

also i love this game this is the best and i wish it was longer then just kanto.

Wait, in what version was that sprite? That is the sprite for the new game, i put it in my version to test how it will look in the game and then forgot about it.

Damn that's a heck of an upgrade for the sprites though. Hopefully things are going well, because I am looking forward to the next game.

That sprite is in the latest version. I saw it and did think it was odd how it stood out. It resembled the new Beauty sprite you showed earlier in the thread so I thought it was an easter egg. lol

Heya! Just dropping in to show some appreciation for this game. Love it through and through and I think you did a great job with this one. 

Although it might be too early to ask, but will the new game be set based on the pokemon games like how this one is based off FR and LG, or will it be something original? And will there be more "ambient" elements in the new one? The one slight dissapointment i have with the game is the lack of girls doing stuff in the overworld as a sort of flavor, would love to see more of those.
