Doggystile Posted July 25, 2024 Posted July 25, 2024 I have bodysuits that don't allow me to wear stockings with them. Or bras where the matching panties don't fit. As soon as I want to equip both, one of them disappears. I think it has something to do with the clothing slots? Maybe a bad example, I also play Sims4 and I can change the slots myself in the Sims4 Studio to layer or combine more clothing. Now my question is, can I do that in Skyrim SE with the outfit studio? Or is there another option?

Doggystile Posted July 25, 2024 Author Posted July 25, 2024 Yes, that seems to be the right thing to do. But I'm not the smartest person and I don't understand what I saw. So if there's no easier way, I'll just have to accept it as it is. Nevertheless, thank you for the tip.
heilhobo Posted July 27, 2024 Posted July 27, 2024 one sec let me type up a simple walk through in steps
heilhobo Posted July 27, 2024 Posted July 27, 2024 1. open the mod in sse edit 2. find the piece of armor in armor addon and armor 3. change the slot in sse edit by clicking it and checking a different box and unchecking the previous one 4. once changed in both spots save it. (do this to any mod that overwrites your esp for the outfit as well) 5. open bodyslide 6. find piece in bodyslide and click the outfit studio button to open it 7. click the eyes in the meshs box to make parts invisible/visible 8. select the mesh you want to change the slot of (you will repeat this part for every mesh thats part of the armor piece you are changing) 9. click partitions at the top of this box 10. change the partition to the new armor slot you wish to have 11. if changing to slot 32 add ref and then add your body 12. click the slider button and hit set base shape and conform all 13. use one of the random sliders in the tool to check and make sure everything is moving together 14. if moving from slot 32 removing the reference body by clicking the body and deleting each section (this avoids overlaps to make things cleaner not 100% required) 15. save 16. close and reopen bodyslide then build the armor piece. (you dont need to close and reopen on se just reload outfit by switching to something else and back but im paranoid so i do it every time anyway) 17. if youve done everything correct it will now work, if not go back and double check the steps cuz one of them was fucked up (also possible another armor piece selects 2 slots and is basically covering it/overriding it on the slot so it wont appear. check if by itself by being nude with armor piece first before double checking steps to save time)
belegost Posted July 27, 2024 Posted July 27, 2024 (edited) There's an easier way using NifScope. See first reply here. You still need to change slots in xEdit, but don't have to tinker with Bodyslide and partitions on mesh files. Edited July 27, 2024 by belegost
