Whicked Whims - Tampons Good for HOW LONG? (Not Realistic)

Okay, I know this is kind of dumb to get hung up on, but tampons in real life should be changed at most every 8 hours. Because Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS) is a very real thing that can and will kill you without medical intervention. And, anyways, if your cycle is on the heavier side, getting to the 8-hour mark is just not possible.

 

That said, it would be interesting for WW to add TSS, if at least for educational purposes (menstruation is just so taboo irl, and sometimes you just don't know what you don't know, you know?). Other issues that can affect the severity of PMS symptoms would also be interesting, like Endometriosis or PCOS.

 

I know someone with endo. Was in extreme pain, simply thought "oh, my cycle is a little early" and just... went on with her day. Because that level of pain was normal for her. Ended up passing out at the grocery store. Anyways, she woke up in the hospital because her appendix burst. 

 

((PS: I'm new to the community, and this is my first post. Hopefully I'm in the right section. I'm also fairly new to WW and still exploring all its corners (so apologies if I missed something). This post is also not meant to offend or attack anyone, least of all the very talented and skilled creator of WW.))

Holey Guacamole,  WW is a disinformation tool, not an educational tool! I agree tho. The mod tends to pander to various fantasies and misconceptions just like regular porn.  Would be nice, but not going to happen.
