Mesh deleted

My defaultmale.hkx and defaultfemale.hkx in the mesh folder were causing me problems.

I've deleted them and now I've got no clue how to replace them (the game won't start without them).

I need help.

1. Those files should be located inside a vanilla BSA, so deleting loose files of the same name should have no effect.
2. Let Steam verify your games files, as it'll restore missing and errornous files.

data/meshes/actor/character/characters for male

data/meshes/actor/character/characters female for female

That's what I deleted....

See above, I deleted them from their respective folders.

The steam solution was the first thing I tried, it didn't work.

Silly question....  but did you empty the recycle bin already?  Files should still be there if you haven't.

The files themselves were replacements of the original files and causing me trouble.

I replaced the originals by accident and I had to delete the replacements.

Edit: To explain further,

While installing the XMPS mod I accidentally replaced my files with ones from the mod meant for non-FNIS gameplay.

This caused problems with my game.

I then deleted the files, and now I need to find another replacement.

If you installed the XMPS mod and accidentally replaced your files with ones from the mod meant for non-FNIS gameplay. Then why not just re install it again and this time pick the ones used for FNIS game play wouldn't that correct the problem?

There aren't any for FNIS gameplay, the non-FNIS folder was a patch.

The mod is meant to be played with the default files.
