Hello !

After playing Skyrim a while, I get a CTD if only I'm looking in my inventory, talking to Serana or looking on map. May be is related to menu?

I have a lot of items in my inventory, around 100.
It's also completely random. I don't understand why.

These are tough to narrow down, intermittent CTDs can be a pain to find, but you are fortunate, for Skyrim has the papyrus log and this is a really big help over no log at all. Possibly consider posting the papyrus log and look it over for any errors it might have generated. Hopefully it will have some clues to lead toward what mod may be causing it. Dialog, clothing, weapons, etc. these type of mods could be likely suspects based on what is going on at the time the CTD's occur. I hope this helps you track it down some, I do not see any particular issue with your load order.

Try place most big armor packs or other packs for cosmetic use bottom loadorder. Big files can crash also your game.

To many scripted mods also can couse CTD like wet and cold with others.

^ Will do. By the ways, CTDs only occur when I'm talking to NPC and invetory no else.

And yes I forget the Papyrus . I'll post tomorrow after I get crash in Skyrim. I desactivated this feature.

I used Enhanced Blood Textures before, and the problem with it is that it's not stable, especially when you use mods that add more NPCs to the gameworld; this adds more strain to the system, what with the EBT having to put scripts running on every NPC. After trying to optimize textures, eliminated SFO and NPC mods, I checked over at STEP and found out that EBT was definitely script-heavy, so I uninstalled it... rarely had CTD/ILS asspain since then.

Another thing that will cause that crash is having ugridstoload set too high, I had similar problems till I reverted to ugridstoload=5.

Ok ! I'll try by removing EBT. I had few freezes with it in battles but with the 512 textures it was fine. Anyway, I'll try without.

For the ugridstoload, I didn't touch it, it's 5 by default.

One thing I forget to say is that I save a lot, not with the quick save option but I save around 2-3 times per minutes. I'm really afraid by CTD so I save as soon as possible.
May be too much saves decrease the game stability, no ?

Quick Save in general has been known to make corrupt save games. The only "safe" way is a full hard save, which really shouldn't be needed more than once every 5-10 min.

I have not seen anyone reporting this, but safetyload was also known to cause crashes when viewing inventory. try putting the ini setting to true, to make it less crashes. it will only be used in menu mode or something like that.

Ok I'll try it !

For now, I re-downloaded the lastest versions of USKP, removed EBT, ran Texture Optimizer, re-clean DLCs with TES5Edit and use Skyrim Savegame Cleaner.

Some have also reported that if the crash persist try moving back to 1.1 and see if that works better. Not sure what has changed in 1,2 but not all pc's like this update very much.

Still in Safety Load 1.2 and I played Skryim for 25 mins then push escape button, it resulted a CTD. I was in windhelm boat port.

I'll try the 1.1.

I also removed USKP, is not a good idea to put them in a middle of save.

i read in another post, that skyrim and elder scrolls in general have a lot of issues with autosaves, so i disabled them in the skyrimprefs.ini like that:

bSaveOnPause=0
bSaveOnTravel=0
bSaveOnWait=0
bSaveOnRest=0

after that, there where no more crashes while loading :)
