On a PC I can do more than with a console, but I'll pick up a console for games that I actually enjoyed (but doesn't have a PC equivalent).

 

All tho i hate microsoft and rather have linux its still so much better then consoles and there limited use and how microsoft manipulate those consoles users is rediculous. The freedom you have with PC and all the different posibillity's i would never give up.

 

Strangely and noting your sig, Skyrim runs on Windows, and you have to play it hard -- as in the difficulty of getting the game to run correctly -- under Wine.

Someone posted that somewhere he had the same GPU as me and a much better CPU than me and ran it in 1024x10something on a pretty low quality while i run it highest with HD mods and all (And sexlab ofc)

I would switch to Linux if games i like supported it

MGS is always good, i think MGS is the longest running successful game series

Actually the Final Fantasy Series is the longest running game series by 11 years

 

Final Fantasy was released in 1987 and Metal Gear was released in 1998

I had the same thought when i read that too.

I was sure final fantasy was older then it is... feels like FF is older than it is.   

 

Speaking of MGSV i don't quite remember if i read that it was going to be released on PC.

Or if i just dreamed that it was, might have been a rumor?

Damn you guys are bringing back some memories. I remember when MGS first came out on the Playstation and how amazed I was to see "living" maggots on a corpse in the game. Thought things had come a long way since my first ColecoVision and Donkey Kong. Now look at Skyrim or BF4 and yikes!

surprising ps4 is doing some stuff for good and xbox is doing some stuff thats making them look bad, id still get a xbox due to fact playstation usually craps out  and overall has crap security.

if you think about it sony has always done good things for console gaming, updating to cd/dvd instead of cartridges, eye toy when it first came out, memery cards, powerful handhelds and the best thing blu-ray

xbox has more hardware problems than ps3

ive fixed more ps3s with hardware problems than i have with xboxs.

 

Only hardware problem i seen with xbox is

the old gen red ring of death,

disc tray needs replaced gear

new thermal tape.

 

Ps3 ive seen hard drive goes bad

power supply goes bad and starts over heating like crazy (can cause fires),

ore w.e their version of red ring of death is,

ports going bad after used a few times,

fans going bad/stop working,

disc tray eating discs due to it going bad and it makes it wobble.  Lol 

 

Coming from someone who OWNS both consoles, my xbox out lived my ps3 by 2 years? never had red ring, and i had to take my ps3 back to get it fixed while it was still under warrenty a hand full of times,  never had to with my xbox XD.

 

not to mention security, xbox only got hacked what, once or twice. no one had to fear their credit cards were stolen like ps3 who was getting hacked XD

I never owned a 360, it never had a strong footing here in Asia. Overall, I'm satisfied with the PS3, despite its setback during its launch. The exclusives it brought were really great. If there are exclusives I wanted to play in 360, it was perhaps Halo... Also, maybe a bit of Gears of War.

I think it was the removal of Linux on the PS3 or some sort of new DRM policy????

 

 

I still have my first gen phat 60GB PS3 and I get to play all my PS1 and PS2 games without worry too, it still works good today.  I have 2 360's, a legit Slim 360 for XBOX Live and a Jasper phat 360 modded with a RGH chip to make it a JTAG and I can mod most games on it.

i got the phat 80gb i wanted to play mgs4 so bad, was waiting for the console to drop in price because it was too expensive when it first came out

 

my first 360 was the old chips it died a long time, then got the elite but then........ i got the gears of war3 slim console

ahhhh i remember when i had a modded xbox and then had it un-modded when i traded it in for a 360
