Newer Consoles

Anyone here onto the newer consoles band wagon?  I stood outside for three hours on Black Friday for a PS4 which I'm sure will be available in most stores by Christmas   Then the PSN breaks down and refuses to take any vouchers so now I have nothing to play on it before I can't redeem my Call of Duty voucher   What's everyone elses experience with the next generation?

Oh those type...nah not in my lifetime i'll stick to my superior PC.

 

Also i can't realy serieusly game with a controller in my hand lazy in front of TV.

 

Consoles are just to limited for my taste.

 

Just bought me a new monitor 2560 ips+ AMD 290x videocard for the price of 2 consoles hehe.

Same. I gave up on console since PS2. PC only.

 

If I cannot mod it, I don't want it. I'm also not a fan of controllers. MMO players used to question me how I could game with a keyboard. I rather have the keys laid out. Much easier. I really don't see how someone can use a controller and hit so many different macros/hotkeys  Love my steelseries SHIFT kb. Would never give that up for a controller. Ever....

I never buy consoles when they are first released anymore.  The game selection will be bad..  the consoles are always released buggy.    Honestly, you're better off waiting until there is a specific game you are interested in that just won't work on your old console.

 

The prices will probably become more competitive, the game selection will be better, and your money is better spent on deals like all the flash sales they have on steam etc.   The consoles aren't going anywhere... they will still be available tomorrow.

Newer consoles have better hardware, but given how RYSE and Forza are all about microtransactions, Microsoft still thinks its users are idiots ... or they really are idiots. If true, we can look forward to further dumbing down of games... err sorry, "streamlining".

well at least with the newer consoles PC users aren't going to have to wait as long for a decent game to come out that can use at least part of it's processing and graphical potential. The day the consoles were released they were already old in comparison. it's not really a matter of dumbing down, it's a matter of catching up. But until there's a newer console games will stagnate because they will still be made for this gen. It's only Next-Gen till it's released.

Played my friend PS4 for 24hr straight. Play all EA sports games they all had same thing in common. Error code 1234409 every

two to five hours of gameplay. CTDING during gameplay! And fps drop to 10-15. Happens a lot when I was playing free games

from PSN network. Game call Contrast have almost zero to no action but randomly drop to 10fps for no reason. Think about it!

Playing rpg game ctd during boss fight, ctd during long cutscene and ctd when forgot save game! No autosaves in rpgs! Spend

a lot time worry about saving instead enjoying game. Did good job of saying ps4 close to pc. Great system but seriously need fix

or patch games.

New consoles, new dumbed down games aiming for the majority of "can't play more than 1 hour, I want to see everything in this game !!!". There is a reason Bethesda, Blizzard, EA dumbed down their major franchise games. More appealing = more money. That's how game industry works today, all about the profit in the first place.

 

Mostly everything today has an arrow to point you in the right direction, a warning you're out of the intended zone, radar which displays threat around you. Give 10 years to the gaming industry and they'll adopt "press space to win" gameplay.

Don't get me wrong if people like consoles fine by me and i say ENJOY.

 

But its just not for me, i like the complexity of pc's always tweaking overclocking. For years im building my own rig's customize and i love it. Cost me alot sure but worth every euro cent.

 

All tho i hate microsoft and rather have linux its still so much better then consoles and there limited use and how microsoft manipulate those consoles users is rediculous. The freedom you have with PC and all the different posibillity's i would never give up.

I made the mistake of buying a PS3 for 300 euros once (and had to sell it way below 190 because the price had dropped significantly by than)

Never again.

When people ask how turn on PS4 in public places have remind him or her think hard before answer question. No power

button so have touch PS4 certain way make her come on and off.. You basically do this in video, every time power on and off

Always a console gamer first. If I can run and mod the game on PC, I'll play it there. If not, I'll stick to console and to their exclusive goodies.

I like any good games despite the system it's on.  I'll wait a few months until I get an XBOX One and eventually a PS4 because of their exclusives.  I look forward to Halo 5 and that game doesn't use auto aim either, just wish they release it on PC though. 

 

I also like the XBOX more because of the reliability of XBOX live and also the fact that I own a separate 360 RGH console to mod games and such.  Soul Calibur IV and V looks nicer modded, lol.
