For some mods that are hosted here - I have read hundreds of pages of troubleshooting... I haven't always found a solution - but I have often received inspiration on how to combine mods with one another for your own "roll play"... and that you can use a computer game as a "stage" to tell and visualize your own story.

Well ladies and gentlemen...and all in between....or none of the above.

I'm pretty sure I sussed it out. It was the monster facial animation mod. I don't know why it did what it did. And reading through the mod page's posts and bugs section, it would seem it only has done this to me.

I'd considered re-downloading the mod, because maybe something got corrupted somewhere, But at this point, I can live without it. I've devoted enough of my time to a mod that effects only a small game detail, that I don't even engage with too much.

The funniest part of all of this is that I don't even care to play as a werewolf! What I did care about was all the other werewolves running around invisibly. They're difficult to fight when you're not really sure where they are.

And the companions/Sinding quests are rough with this glitch in play.

I agree, absolutely.

Especially here, versus the Nexus, or Redditt, or other such places.

Here, people are able to look passed the fact I have adult mods because this is where most of them come from.

If I posted my mod list on a Nexus forum asking for help, I'd just get a ton of unhelpful advice suggesting that the adult mods are the sole problem. Clearly, in this instance, that wasn't true.

Und die Gefährten-/Sinding-Quests sind aufgrund dieses Spielfehlers schwierig.

But why do you install so many mods that deal with werewolves - if you don't even want to play something like that yourself?

With the "Warrior's Guild" in Whiterun, you can't really avoid it... unless you use mods.

Although in terms of pure combat play, invisible enemies in Skyrim are not a problem:

In the quest for the Thieves' Guild - where you fight the renegade guild leader in the room with the snow elf statue - he uses an invisibility spell and attacks the player accordingly violently.

With a little knowledge of dragon shouts and magic skills, you can quickly come up with countermeasures -> "Discover life"

For me, the most effective here is the dragon shout - because it doesn't waste time with a hand animation and you can also say it with your weapons drawn

(there is also an equivalent for undead like vampires - who also like to use the invisibility spell)

So an invisible werewolf (due to a mod error) wouldn't be a problem either - in the sense of "the game is now unplayable"

I'm planning on a Subjugation of Skyrim play-through.. It's also going to be somewhat de-leveled. Which means werewolf enemies can appear early in game, before my character would have the abilities to detect invisible creatures that you mentioned.

Part of the Subjugation plan involves going through The Companions questline, as well as completing the Falkreath werewolf quest.

And while the game wasn't by any means "unplayable" with this glitch, it was incredibly distracting to see the problem, and have no idea why it existed in the first place. Also, problems like this can be indicative of other problems yet to be encountered that could potentially be game-breaking. So it's best to track them down and resolve them as soon as you find them. Rather than just ignoring them and continuing the story, only to find that a larger, unignorable issue comes up and ruins everything.

I've been working on my mod list since the beginning of May, in preparation for this play-through. Loading things, testing, playing until I find a problem I didn't anticipate, then working to resolve that problem.

As Abraham Lincoln once said...

I'm currently doing something similar -> for my blog story I want to use the mod collection "Serana dead sexy" - but combined with mods that turn my (female) character into a "chick" ... basically I added a few more things to the idea of an overpowering (blood-sucking) partner.

The tests have been going on for several weeks - a first basis works (the interaction of several mods that change the body) ... but another aspect (from a companion mod) forces me to complete the main quests of the base game and both main DLCs ... just for testing purposes - whether the final ending (not me but my companion kills Miraak - out of revenge!) actually happens like that.

I don't need it for pure playing - but this special companion has an important function in my story... and no - it's NOT Serana!)

Overall, my story has been on pause for about a year... I was dissatisfied with the state of the mods at the time (which I wanted to use for my second main part).

Yes - the preparations take a lot of time - testing alone takes at least 5-10 times as much time as writing and staging the scenes - if I just "played" it, I would be finished in a tiny fraction of the time

I wasn't having it work with vanilla, so I just did away with it.

I'd disabled everything that touched werewolves (except that one obv) and it was still janking them, so I got rid of it.

 

I also did away with diverse werewolves, as per your advice on it being incompatible with too many things.

I really do appreciate your efforts though.

Also, I assume Schlongs of Skyrim and Hoodies have some part to play here because the werewolves aren't ENTIRELY invisible.

I get a dingus, and one eye that's missing a texture (purple) floating around.

And of course, the Bashed Patch

Now here's the weird thing...If I spawn in a werewolf using the console, some of them show up just fine...save for the left-eye texture being wonky. It seems like any that have this issue are the vanilla werewolves. Beyond that, if I transform my character into a werewolf, he is also invisible.

I've tried re-installing mods, rearranging mods in the load order, rearranging mods in the left panel of MO2, going into the CK to make sure the armor addons are correctly assigned....I've tried disabling werewolves in the creature framework MCM, disabling the extra features in Moonlight tales MCM, unpacking the textures from the mod BSAs so they're sure to overwrite....

NOTHING is working!

What am I missing? Does anyone have even the faintest idea of what could be going wrong, or how it can be fixed?

I've been going through it on this, so I'm fairly certain that seeing my entire modlist isn't going to reveal much more than I've stated, but I could be wrong.

Ok if you have not resolved this issue, this worked for me, I use TWO (total werewolf overhaul which works great), growl, and moonlight tales mini it is when you change or after the werewolf has sex turns invisible, disable the skins used in creature frame work or if you have an option change it to the one you use as the skin, your having a conflict of which skin to use, I use total werewolf over haul, which adds physics to the male and female werewolf and you must disable the one used in creature frame work or you maybe invisible ot may disappear after certain actions.
